Before the last FR update I could see 'em.
No I never dropped high explosives into a bunch of rice and have them give me an answer while running away:) I was in Torrejon AB, Spain in the late 80's and spliced the radial nerve in my left arm. It's back. Nerves grow back 1mm/day.
I want 2 Purple Hearts for that: 1 for the injury, the 2nd because my feelings were hurt:):):)

I've not had anyone be nasty to me. I see bickering in many threads which saddens me, but I have not been treated poorly.
I even engaged in some good-natured joking banter about the fact that no one has been mean to me. The idea that Freepers were mean to newbies came up and I mentioned I was beginning to feel left out. Not having been adequately and equally abused made me feel ostracized. A couple of kind Freepers quickly pitched in to relieve my distress. One of them told me to "shut up" while the other pronounced some hopeful forecast about my sister having an unexpected encounter with the dental work of a dromedary.
I felt much better.
Seriously, the responses I have received in general have alway been appropriate, whether straightforward or lighthearted.
I have seen threads where I felt that new posters were being treated unfairly, but do not feel that I have been the victim of such.
I have met one Freeper IRL - thanks again Spiff for helping me get to see the VP live. Nice person, and one with strong honorable convictions.
I've been here since April, 1998... I have no idea what number I am... But I've been on board for over six years.
