Let's put the fault where it properly belongs: GWB. He was the one who could have vetoed the bill. He tried to "back door" out of it via the SC, on the orders of that hack Karl Rove. He screwed up.

You're preaching to the choir here, my FRiend.

I followed that rotten piece of legislation from start to finish. I applauded Speaker Hastert's every attempt to kill it, and I applauded his decision to file suit in the Supreme Court to overturn it.

There's nothing left to do about it now except work around it.

Great, thanks for the ping. Even my pink associates are beginning to wonder about Kerry and the Dems. It's not only the flip flops but the calls for censorship. Kerry's unhappy alright, the botox is wearing off and so is the rest of the mask.

White House spokesman Scott McClellan described the Republican donor, Bob Perry, as "a supporter" of the president, and acknowledged Perry's personal ties with Bush's top political adviser, Karl Rove.

"But that still shouldn't be used to draw any connection there because we have not been involved in this ad whatsoever," McClellan told reporters near Bush's Crawford, Texas ranch.

McClellan said Kerry was "angry" about the advertising campaign, adding: "His losing his cool shouldn't be an excuse to falsely attack the president."

Bush campaign chairman Marc Racicot said in an interview on CNN that Kerry looked "wild-eyed" talking about it.

Kerry campaign spokesman David Wade responded tersely: "Maybe if George Bush had seen combat up close, his hired gun mouthpiece wouldn't be so flip about the dishonest and dishonorable attack funded by the President's Texas pals."

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! MY EYES!

You do have a point, though. The resemblance is (quote William Shattner from some recent US advertisement for I-remember-what-not), "Un-canny."

How about Franken/Garafolo's Air America?

Well, I guess it would be easy enough to prove them a shell corporation established as a political, rather than as an
ongoing business concern.

Hey! David Wade! BITE ME

When's your guy gonna prove the charge of dishonesty? And if the Swifties are dishonorable, what the heck do you call Kerry stabbing fellow vets in the back?

*Any* intervention by the FEC against he Swifties would probably result in a lawsuit being filed. Lawsuits bring discovery.

Bring it on, John.

You are right about the Bush and Kerry Campaigns. Both of them have accepted federal financing for their presidential campaigns. So Kerry cannot now, and Bush cannot after 1 September, raise any outside money. But all other American politicians, both state and federal, are free to continue raising money.

Yo! David! If Hanoi John Effing Kerry had seen real (vice imagined) combat up close, this argument would not be taking place.

"Swiftboatees have to return all their ILLEGAL contributions????" Since I contributed, I guess that makes me a criminal. And so angry, I am off to make another illegal contribution. Do you suppose I'll share a cell with Soros??

Tell me about it. I must be, too. But, as long was we don't have to share a cell with Michael Jackson, I guess we'll do OK.

All of this just convinces me even more that French-looking Kerry is indeed "Unfit to Command".

Well, if you bring William Shatner into it, it gets even more uncanny, considering the godfather of Zira's child was Khan:
