Tucker Carlson just said that CNN has been notified that the Kerry camp will seek to have the goverment pull the Swift Boat veterans for Truth ads.

In your case, a dispensation is in order. Don't bother.
The undicided voters are now saying "I was going to vote for John Kerry BEFORE, now I won't be voting for him."
'RATS: Moveon.org running ads on Bush is acting on their own while the Swift boat ads are clearlying being coordinated by Bush and Karl Rove.
If Bush could be the man and do nothing to that lying moore movie then Kerry can or should be able to take the Swiftboat ads.
Kerry is a thin-skinned crybaby.
I am truly speechless.
This is a preview, America. Is this what you want? When Kerry comes for you...
I, for one, will not accept my fifty bucks back. I'll just send it again.
So, I heard from someone that on the Michael Medved show today, thery were talking with some Brooklyn Lawyer who said that Kerry's DD-214 contains a serious inaccuracy - a really bad one.
What he said was, that Kerry's DD-214 ( http://www.johnkerry.com/pdf/jkmilservice/DD214.pdf ) contains the listing of his medals, and it shows that he earned a "Silver Star with Combat 'V'". What is being said is that there is no 'Combat V' attachment for the Silver Star, since the Silver Star is already an award for valour, the "Combat V" would be redundant.
Now, looking at his DD-214 (link above) shows that to be true - he does, in fact, list a "Silver Star with Combat 'V'". I've never heard of a Combat 'V' device for the Silver Star - other medals have them depending on circumstances, though...
That appears to be an incorrect entry, and at least to my mind calls into question the authenticity of every record the Kerry Camp has released.
Thoughts, anyone? Has this little issue been discussed before?
What's the first rule when you find yourself in a hole?
Yippee! Bring it on morons.
They are for specific time periods.
Here is a list, when was Kerry there?
There are a total of 17 campaign stars authorized for the Vietnam Service Medal. Personnel are authorized one bronze campaign star for each qualifying campaign with a silver star worn in lieu of five bronze stars.
The design of the medal's suspension ribbon reflects that of the flag of the former South Vietnam -- yellow with three red stripes. The green trim at the edges is suggestive of the jungle nature of the conflict.
3 Silver and 2 Bronze Stars (Red font are campaigns the my dad was apart of.)
1. Vietnam Advisory Campaign (15 March 1962- 7 March 1965)
2. Vietnam Defense Campaign (8 March-24 December 1965)
3. Vietnamese Counteroffensive (25 December 1965- 30 June 1966)

10. Tet 69/Counteroffensive (23 February-8 June 1969)

I actually did go over to DU to see what they were saying.
"The moveon.org ads are true, and the Swiftscum ads are lies, so they should be taken off the air now."

You can't tell the politcal affiliation of FEC appointees by who appoints them. There are Democrat and Republican slots. When Clinton took office every FEC Commissioner had been appointed by Reagon or Bush(41). They just pickey Democrats for 1/2 the slots.
The Demorats already tried to take away the military vote. Now they are trying to censor their speech.
I AM -- thinking about it! And, about something I wish I could dig up, that wwas written in a piece on the Oklahoma fed building bombing. Where McVeigh says "you'd be surprised at the people who was involved in this" the journalist went on to say that McVeigh seemed to be hinting at international entities. We have GOT to help the swifties and help ourselves in the bargain.
Hye, maybe YOU'D know, Tet68 - I've never heard of it, but is there a "Combat 'V'" device EVER authorized for wear on a Silver Star? The Kerry DD-214 shows that not only did Kerry earn a Bronze Star with Combat 'V', but also a "Silver Star with Combat 'V'".
Now, I know the Bronze Star can be awarded for valor, or just as an 'Atta Boy', so a 'V' (for Valour) device is authorized for wear when a Bronze Star is earned for Valour. However, I've never seen or heard that for a Silver Star (since it's only awarding IS for 'Valour')...

What's your take on that?
I knew I had three but I thought you got one for every 6 months. Thanks for refreshing my memory as to how they were awarded.
What is CFR?
here's a thread on the V:
