Tucker Carlson just said that CNN has been notified that the Kerry camp will seek to have the goverment pull the Swift Boat veterans for Truth ads.

Because Swift Boat Ad discussion (on DU) is essentially banned, censored and controlled.
Red
That is why I wonder why Kerry's people think this is a winning position?
No matter what the FEC rules we get a ton of free time questioning Kerry's Nam service.
This is a losing idea for Kerry and his people.(and the real fun starts after Labor Day!)
Had enough?
Your invited speaker has now taken action via the federal government against a penny ante veterans group who are simply trying to get their point across about Mr. Kerry. We are talking a few $100 thousand.
All the while, other groups are calling your president and mine "Hitler" with budgets of $10's of millions.
Your invited guest speaker represents the same crew that tried desperately to disenfranchise military voters in Florida in 2000 (remember the "high fives" by the Democratic lawyers when a group of military ballots was disallowed?)
Is this what you want for your convention? You don't have to go forward with it, you know.
Panic time.
I think Kerry is trying to move the discussion from the SwiftVet revelations to a generalized discussion of 527s.
Kerry demands this ad be pulled in the same week that Welsey Clark and Stansield Turner hold a press conference and say that Bush got in the NG using his daddy's friends.
My head is spinning.
But I'm dialing...
I missed it then. L0L I dont hang around long!
I looked in breaking news and didnt see it
I can't wait to hear what Mark Levin has to say about this. During one of his talks with one of the vets, Mark said that if Kerry's people took any legal action against the vets, he'd be right in the middle of it.
You'll notice that Kerry isn't attacking them through the FEC for lying, he's going after them for allegedly breaking campaign laws. What an a-hole!!
Some of the SwiftVets know Republicans. Those Republicans, oddly enough, support our Republican President. That's about it in a nutshell.
Done. Called the CBS news direct line number you posted. The lady said she would put the suggestion in.
Hello DUmmies! It's a PR stunt that doesn't have a prayer.
Per Boston Globe regarding Kerry's request for swift boats - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2004/03/07/wkerr07.xml
"I didn't really want to get involved in the war," Kerry said in a little-noticed contribution to a book of Vietnam reminiscences published in 1986. "When I signed up for the swift boats, they had very little to do with the war. They were engaged in coastal patrolling and that's what I thought I was going to be doing."
Yup, I know exactly what you're saying. It used to be that the various factions could at least be cordial and usually worked well together. Now, they're terribly polarized and theres NO hint of civility and lots of talk about violence etc. Not only is the Kerry campaign going under but I think we're witnessing the demise of the dem party as well. That is, at least how its been run by the clinton's. I think this all bodes very badly for hillary in 2008. In fact this whole business is showing signs of tearing the country apart. We live in interesting times for sure!!
Its possible that 527s will be shut down as a result of this, but it wont happen till after the election.
No kidding.
Adam Ant was my first crush, and I will not allow you, or time, or (frankly) Adam's burgeoning insanity to sully it!
hee hee. kinda sad, but still, hee hee.
Whatever happened to "BRING...IT...OOOOOOOON" ?!?
THEY are the real book burners, and censors.
