How it'll be resolved - if it can be resolved - I can't foresee. I worry that the revolution is coming and we're all fat, stupid, and complacent.

Well, not quite all of us...

Well, that's a cheery line of thought, now isn't it?

Y'all have a nice weekend, I have to get along home.

Dog, after these last two days, I am convinced there is something REALLY bad in those records of his -- and he knows he's going to have to eventually release them.

He's never released the December spot reports that would blow away his Cambodia claims.

As for going "nuclear," I don't know if it's something bad in the records, or just his grandiose self-image he's rashly trying to protect.

YEah, the Pubs already lost an appeal of the moveon.org creeps. Therefore, since it's a pub administration, and Michael Powell is in charge, and the Swifties have (at least) the preponderance of the truth on their side, I can't see any reason they would be denied when the commies weren't.

Never stand in an empty tank and say "Bring it On."

Also, when you are up to your neck in quicksand, best not to start flailing.

In hindsight, it might have been better to take the "I'm not going to dignify the ad/book with any comment."

What if a campaign "agent" mentions to the press that their campaign will be focusing on such-and-such in this state during this week? It seems like the rules are rather vague. It cannot be illegal for campaigns to discuss their campaign strategies publicly.

Too bad the First Amendment has been amended sooooooooo much. Should we all walk around with tape over our mouths for two months prior to an election? Except for John Kerry and his followers, of course.

>This is about the stupidest thing they could do.

Is it? Granted, the FEC won't act prior to the election. Is it possible for them to have a pet judge already lined up to order an injunction banning the group from running television ads?

If they get that done, they get the ads off the air, and their friends in the liberal media will let the story die.

"What worries me is that they'll get some sort of injunction while it spins round the courts. That new ad NEEDS TO BE SEEN..."

I've got the SwiftBoat1 add & the RNC Flipper add linked in my sigs on other forums. Gets lots of play.

Can anyone give me a quick html hint on how to embed the addy inside of text? All I want is text like "Kerry's A Fraud" that links to the swiftboat vid and "Flipper" that links to the RNC add - without all the http:// clutter on-screen.

That ain't how it works...

A few years ago, when the Clintons were breaking every campaign law they could find, the FEC couldn't stop them. The FEC can, several years after the fact, assess a small fine.

As long as Karl Rove is smart enough (and I believe he is), there will be no way to show either financial or coordination ties to the Bush campaign. The only whining that I've heard of that is probably true is that the Texas guy who contributed $150,000 to the Swifties ad campaign "knows" Rove. Yeah, well I'm sure that Soros and Moore know Kerry as well. It's too late Kerry - the damage has been done. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Wasn't there a lead staffer on the Kerry campaign, a few months back, that took a position at moveon.org or one of the other large 527. Anyone have an answer?

I'll tell you, I wanted the 527's closed down earlier this year but I'm somewhat glad that it didn't and therefore allowed the Swift Vets to make these commercials which are perfect companions to their devastating book. I am so glad they used Kerry's actual testimony in his own words - absolutely devastating - especially for those people that never heard them or his activities after returning to the states.

The Swift Boat Vets just got a donation out of me for this. And the democrats have the balls to call Republicans Nazi's.

Those jokers at the KERRY campaign MUST have a Bush plant in there, who is helping them make decisions akin to them pissing in the wind. That's the only logic I can see about it. Actually, they must have had a serious strategy meeting that showed them bleeding profusely with a cut juglar vein, in the battle ground states and among Veteran Democrats/moderate & conservative Reagan democrats due to the day in and day out Swift Boat damage to their own dinghy.

YES YES YES YES YES YES

This is great!!!!! They have really screwed themselves. Now it WILL be at the top of the book pile nationwide, and at the office cooler and over dinner tables, and people in the middle may begin to say "WTF? What's this Swift Boat Kerry book business? I'm gonna get that book to see what the commotion is." I guarantee you.

Some idiot at a low level must have thought this up. Kerry is digging his own political grave. What a WONDERFUL DAY!!!!

Exactly! Wouldn't the Kerry campaign have to PROVE that the ad is a "lie" or "slander"? And don't tell me he's going to use his "band of brothers" as "proof".

I am no longer willing to think we just have a difference of opinion.

They are criminals. Criminals with Socialist ideals. They *ARE* our enemy.

(note: the mind numb folks that vote Democrat are not the enemy. It is those they elect that need to be defeated. By any mean necessary)

Wasn't that issue that the GOP filed more about funds than the content of the ads?

It matters not. The Bush campaign has already pegged it a temper tantrum. That will be the story they are sticking to.
