Part of the problem is that what worked in New Jersey in 2002 is not likely to work in too many other places in the U.S. in 2004. The biggest hurdle they'd have to overcome would be a large credibility gap, and then they'd have to deal with potential ballot deadlines to change a candidate in all 50 individual states.

August 20 to Election Day is plenty of time for HRC because she has had a behind-the-scenes headstart while we're watching Kerry throw footballs and wondering what a dork he is. Why did Kerry bring Viet Nam up in his campaign...it is not his strong suit; I'd be willing to bet the Clintonistas advised him to do so. So, we are fighting VN again while Hillary knits, knits, knits. There is no other reason for Kerry to bring up VN; he's is/has been from the start her placemarker. She's had years to perfect this...going back to her unreleased thesis, all through Arkansas and she wasn't making cookies in the White House. International "friends" in on this?
