Why did Kerry bring Viet Nam up in his campaign...it is not his strong suit; I'd be willing to bet the Clintonistas advised him to do so. So, we are fighting VN again while Hillary knits, knits, knits. There is no other reason for Kerry to bring up VN; he's is/has been from the start her placemarker. She's had years to perfect this...going back to her unreleased thesis, all through Arkansas and she wasn't making cookies in the White House. International "friends" in on this? He had to bring up Vietnam because the 35 years that have passed since then have been an utter waste of time for him. He doesn't have anything else to run on . . . his Senate record is even more boring and dull than his typical campaign speech.
