Here's the newest ad from the Swifties.
* Moderator note. For those using Firefox browser, you may need to use this link to see the ad
Major General George S. Patton, the son and namesake of the World War II armored commander was a veteran of combat in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
He was wounded in one of his three Vietnam tours and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was twice awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, the second-highest decoration for bravery in combat.
General Patton charged that he had experienced proof in the field that John F. Kerry's antiwar actions had given aid and comfort to the enemy, just as had those of Ramsey Clark and Jane Fonda.
Mr. Kerry, said George Patton, probably caused some of my guys to get killed. And I don t like that. There is no soap ever invented that can wash that blood off his hands
Thanks. I can't wait to actually see it.
not yet they don't, I truly don't think they "get it" yet. For a bunch of intelekshuals they sure are stupider than many Americans.
WOW, this is going to leave a mark.
Now Kerry has to go after the P.O.W.s as well.
Shark jumped time.
"Time for another donation, Freepers! If I understand McCain-Feingold, we only have 2 more weeks to run these ads - let's help the Swifties keep them on the air until the last minute!"
I do not believe these ads are subject to those limitations...Please, someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think these ads can run right up through election day.

Sounds like we need to start a FReeper betting pool.
I'm in for McCain in front of a camera no later than Noon EST.
LOL you have 80+ people posting ahead of you commenting on the ad they just saw, but you see an ad for a book, so the thread should be yanked?
I think this ad effectively NUKED THE KERRY CAMPAIGN TO OBLIVION!
Kerry sucks.
Woooah! Did I catch that correctly?
Yes, I think that was the closing statement of the ad.
For anyone who hasn't read it yet, please take a look at this account of a former 5-year POW at the Hanoi Hilton. It will break your heart. Kerry's anti-war propaganda tour was definitely used by the Vietnamese at the Hanoi Hilton, not just to "taunt" the prisoners but to justify horrific torture to force them to sign admissions to things they never did. I don't know how these guys went on to have a normal life after what they went through as POWs.
Please -- SOMEONE -- describe it for those of us who can't get it at work!
Powerfull, direct, chilling.
See my post #85. I will try to go back and listen for more lines from the POW's. It uses the testimony Kerry said before the Fulbright Committee. Interspersed are comments from the POW's. I cannot see how he can be the nominee.
Does the ad say how many POW's approved of this ad?
As Mr. Miagi said in the Karate Kid, "No defense!"
Me too. This ad brought tears to my eyes.
Somewhere there is a statement by McCain about sKerry, about the impact of what sKerry said had on McCain as a POW.
