Have you noticed the typical mainstream media and their handling of the Swift Boat affair? Chris Matthews has Max Cleland on his show. Now what the heck does Max know about the SwiftVets? NOTHING! Then he has Willie Brown and Michelle Maulkin on together. Matthews slimes Maulkin and doesn't let her talk at all, but a stop watch to it if you don't believe me. He let's Willie run his mouth uninterrupted. Willie doesn't know anything about the SwiftVets or Kerry's lies, neither does Michell at this point in time, however, this woman is a tremendous researcher and she will get to the bottom of this story. Max Cleland and Willie Brown have no intention of discovering the truth, nor does Chris Matthews. Everyone is running out their favorite pundits, none of whom are swiftboat veterans, with the exception of Fox News. Britt Hume on "Special Report" brings on a Colonel to discuss how citations are sponsered and how much truth is really behind them. This gentleman explains how medals were given away freely in Vietnam do to low morale. He said that if you see an enlisted man with a Silver Star, he honestly did something of valor, but if you see on officer with a Silver Star you can take it with a grain of salt. He also furthers the real discussion by stating that the real story is in all the tons of documentation that really exists on some Navy base (I didn't catch the name), and that this is where all of the reporters should be to get the story straight. NOW CLEARLY, Fox is trying to further the story and get at the truth. Dana "kerry" Milbank of the Washington Post was on a bit earlier explaining how proof now exists that Lt.JG Thurley who received a Bronze Star for the same incident, proves that the Swiftboat vets are lying. I really have no idea where this man received his education, but I can tell you that a critically thinking man would never use that as proof. Thurley immediately came out and said he received his Bronze Star based upon the lying report that John Kerry submitted. That he still stands with a dozen other men that claim there was absolutely NO HOSTILE FIRE during the hours it took them to salvage the #3 boat and it's men after it was blown up with a mine.
Point I'm making is that Fox News is the only organization that is trying to further the story. The rest of these pinheads are simply staffing their shows for ratings.
I watched some of Hardball tonight. Chris Matthews was a total asshole. Enough.
Trust those that were there.
No.
Do you recall that the Kerry staffer brazenly said that the kerry kampaign was not worried about the Swift Vets book & Ads because 'the media wants us to win'?
Well, the media (as apparently promised to the kerry kampaign) is working overtime to discredit the Swiftees & protect kerry.
Thank God for FoxNews & Brit Hume & The Washington Times who are the only ones to report this story in an unbiased manner.
This story really does prove the bias in the press. Arron Brown (I'm pretty sure) of CNN fame said that the "government" gave Kerry his citations, therefore, it's the end of the story.
Ten years ago, that same "government" sent my dog 17 social security checks. And it obviously took me 17 months to straighten them out.
Scarborough had a young guy on from the WashPost who said CBS' poll numbers showed Kerry's numbers plummeting, that Kerry felt he had to do something. The vets ad, he felt, was very damaging, not only among conservatives but among among independents.
Chris Matthews is flacking for Kerry..... he should be ashamed of himself for the way he treated Michelle Malkin. He never read the book...at least she got that out of him.
I called my neighborhood Barnes & Noble about the availability of UNFIT FOR COMMAND. They said they had lots of copies and told me I could find it on the second table as you walk in. There is no conspiracy to keep this book away from buyers.
I don't believe that anyone in UNFIT FOR COMMAND is suggesting that Kerry shot himself on purpose or got wounded himself intentionally. Nevertheless,It was a self inflicted wound, and does not qualify for a purple heart.
I can't wait to see Malkin's column about her experience with Matthews. She'll tell it like it is and let him have it.
However, I do think that at a number of Barnes and Noble stores and other bookstores, there is a very definite bias. There is a selection factor at work here. Employees at chain bookstores were often English and social science majors in college. They tend to be faux intellectuals off of college campuses, who've never thought for themselves in their lives, and who don't associate with anyone who would admit to having conservative ideas. Is there a liberal bias in bookstores? You bet your sweet life there is.
