Is Unfit For Command in stores yet?

Is Unfit for Command in bookstores yet? Amazon.com is now showing "this book usually ships in 5-to-7 weeks". I ordered my copy August 10 and it still has not shipped as of August 19. Barnes & Noble is showing "this book usually ships in 1-to-2 weeks". Is the book such a big seller that Amazon cannot get enough copies?

I ordered at Amazon, also and my ship date is late September. I emailed them and complained that some people are getting their books sooner, but they answered back, late Sept is my shipping date. I'm confused and anxious to get this book.

I haven't found it locally and the guys at Borders said they're scrambling to find a distributer who can get them copies. They implied the publisher underestimated the demand and printed too few copies.

Borders book store in Costa Mesa, CA (South Coast Plaza for all you ladies) in Southern California(Orange County) has it. But you have to pay full price. Barnes & Noble does not have it in Orange County. So I ordered mine from Amazon.com

Yes, it was available yesterday at a Barnes & Noble or Waldens in Union Station in DC. It was displayed prominently, but the Moore-type Bush-bashing books still dominated.

I also ordered on 8/10/04, I just checked with Amazon, it was shipped today and should be delivered on 8/21/04. But I doubt they will deliver on a Saturday or Sunday.

My order at Amazon which contains the book currently has a delivery estimate of 8/25-8/26 and says "Shipment #1: Shipping Soon
We are preparing these items for shipment and this portion of your order cannot be canceled or changed." I placed the order on 8/14.

So they seem to have their hands on at least some copies.

You are right. I received an e-mail from Regnery stating that there are 350,000 books in print right now that will be delivered next week. I also believe that Regnery had no idea this book would explode as it has. Whatever you folks do, please keeping buying the book. They will be online shortly. If worst comes to worst, borrow someone else's book so you can read it. This book and its contents will destroy John Kerry! BUY THE BOOK "UNFIT FOR COMMAND"! And.....support the SBVs with your small contributions. I have bought two books and sent these heroes fifty bucks! Onward to the destruction of that traitor John Kerry!

I got mine at Barnes & Nobel in Augusta, GA today, they said the reasons that they are not on the shelves is because they can't keep them stocked. They have already sold out of the first two orders and people are begging for them.

I have several proclaimed Bush haters who claim that they are going to vote for Bush anyway because this election is not about politics. This came from lawyers. Apparently the book is making a very big impact.

I bought mine today at a Hastings Books and Music in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. They had 3-4 others on the shelf. It was prominently displayed at the front of the store. The Hastings in Greenville has 15 copies. Hastings may just be regional, however. I had pre-ordered from Amazon, but cancelled my order.

Do you always check with WorldNetDaily.com first?

Make sure you're on their mailing list for notices about such things.

Item "Unfit for Command : Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry" is listed as "usually ships within 5 to 7 weeks" typically take up to 5 to 7 weeks to obtain and prepare for shipment, but can occasionally take longer. As you may know, we have several fulfillment centers across the U.S., and the items in your order may sometimes be in stock at different locations. When you place your order, we estimate your shipment date based on the proximity of inventory to the delivery address, as well as how quickly we can obtain and assemble items for shipment.

My email from Amazon. Looks like maybe I don't live in the right location.;-)

I thought my wife (who ordered one for me) said 5-7 days.

Cancel tomorrow if it's weeks.
