Kerry has now said repeatedly that he want to repeal tax cuts to those who DON"T NEED THEM. That begs the question (for any enterprising reporter) that if Kerry is going to base his tax policy on what people need, HOW MUCH DOES JOHN KERRY NEED? Does he need 5 multimillion dollar mansions, a Lear Jet, a fleet of vehicles, a billion dollar net worth, etc.? If he feels comfortable telling everyone what they need financially, isn't he obligated to tell us what he needs? And since he continually speaks of everyone sacrficing, isn't he obligated to tell how he and Theres will be sacrificing? Would living off of 500 million be a sacrfice? 100 million? We need to know at what level of wealth he would consider himself to be sacrificing.
John Kerry, who wants to raise taxes on those earning above $200,000 (which he himself does) when given the option to pay the new lower rate or the old higher rate on his state income taxes PAID THE LOWER RATE!
John Kerry is a hypocrite!
Wealth is not taxed, just income. So, Kerry would gladly take a tax cut on his income because it pales in comparison to his assets. That's how the wealthy liberal politicians come off sounding like they're so eager to increase their own taxes--they only take the increase on their income, not on the wealth that they've accumulated.
You must understand the difference, Kerry only wants to tax money that is earned so that no one else can become wealthy and challenge his and his fellow elites power. Wealth that already belongs to the rights families should continue to be exempt from taxes.
Anyone who believes John Kerry is going to close one loophole that Theresa uses has crap for brains.
How about everyone worth less that $100 million pays ZERO taxes?
That should say "take a tax increase". Oops.
Oh, darn! That would leave me out. Could you up that amount by $5?
I know of no law that prohibits all those rich people like Kerry and his wife, from paying more taxes if that wish
We might have to take some things from you for the common good.
"From each according to his means, to each according to their needs."
Where have we heard that?
According to some high school students who were asked that question, it came from our Constitution. :-/
He can hand over his family's wealth to the government. He sure as heck doesn't need the fleet of cars, the maids, the butlers, the Gulfstream IV Flying Squirrel private jet and those lavish mansions. He can demonstrate as the scion of Upper Class, he believes in sacrifing for the good of the country. Otherwise its all hot air.
Kerry doesn't earn $200,000. He and Theresa receive capital gains from their billions. Kerry is not proposing to increase the capital gains tax, only the tax on earnings. I think his income as a Senator is less than $300K.
His income as a Senator is somewhere in the neighborhood of $165,000 +-. He has other earned income as well (outside of capital gains). Interest is also considered earned income. Plus he had income for the year in question from book sales.
I will try and hunt down the original thread on this matter, but Kerry's Mass income tax return showed greater than $200,000 in taxable income.
Yep, pay the lower rate.
John Kerry: Repeal tax cuts to those who don't need them.
We now have the Kerry corollary to the Communist Manifesto.
Does this mean that John Kerry supports wealth redistribution?
How come the government decides HOW much money the populace needs? Where is that in the constitution?
