WASHINGTON: A new book on Islam titled The Sword of the Prophet has accused Muslims of perpetrating unparalleled massacres in India quite similar to genocide of Jews by the Nazi regime during the "Holocaust" in the 1930s and 1940s.
Written by Serge Trifkovic, an American magazine editor, the book says that Islam is by no means a religion of peace, but a faith with a hidden agenda to discredit Christianity and the West.
Trifkovic further claims that Islam "rose through bloody conquest, sanctioned theft, deceit, lust and murder".
In what is described as a yet another Islam-bashing book, it says that the Koran sanctioned pillage, looting, ransom, and the rape of captive women as an incentive to join in the jehad.
According to the Daily Times, it adds that the Koran also allowed four wives and divorce by simply saying 'Talaq' three times.
According to it, the Koran permitted Muslims to adopt a peaceful attitude to deceive their neighbours where they are a minority, until they feel strong enough to dispense with the pretence.
Peace, in the Islamic vision, will only come upon the completion of global conquest.

"Frontpage regrets characterizations of Serge Trifkovic, author of Sword of Islam, that were made in an article by Stephen Schwartz (CAIR's Axis of Evil) to the effect that Trifkovic, is an Islamophobe, is associated with Pravda or Antiwar.com, and "was the main advocate in the West for the regime of Slobodan Milosevic." Serge Trifkovic is not associated with either Pravda or Antiwar.com. He was not a supporter of Slobodan Milsoevic. He is not an Islamophobe nor would Frontpage have given extensive space to a summary of his book if he were. Frontpage regrets any pain or injury this may have caused to Mr. Trifkovic."-- David Horowitz)

If one wanted to disguise territorial conquest, why not call it a "religion?"

Peace, in the Islamic vision, will only come upon the completion of global conquest. Three years ago this would have been news.
I've often said the world changed on 9/11.
Now I know that the world didn't change,
I've just woken up to the way it's been for the last 1400 years.
God help us all.

Islam is a caustic blend of regurgitated paganism and twisted Bible stories.
Muhammad, its lone prophet, conceived his religion solely to satiate his lust for power, sex, and money.
He was a terrorist.
And if you think these conclusions are shocking, wait until you see the evidence.

It disturbed me that Google turned up so few unfavorable reviews of either Trifkovik or "Sword of the Prophet". Why haven't I been able to find anything by Bernard Lewis or Christopher Hitchens? Is this a cult book, unworthy of review by serious thinkers?

I lack the knowledge to comment on the philosophical and moral distinctions between religions, but as a casual historical observer I fail to see much difference between peoples; all are bloodthirty, warlike, greedy, and cruel when they have the chance or feel threatened.
I say this without denying that there are distinctions between modern and earlier practices.

Its real simple,
"Islam is a religion in which their God
requires you to send your son to die for him. Christianity
is a faith in which God sent his Son to die for you."

Always glad to see stuff like this.
If only it'd become a best seller!

I'm in favor of legislating that all Quranic or Hadithic passages promoting discrimination or violence of any sort against non-Muslims be defined as criminal non religious hate speech, myself.
