Has anyone ever heard of 'The Darwin Awards'?
If not, allow me to say a few words before moving on.
The Darwin Awards is a book series by Wendy Northcutt about evolution...in a sense. You see, she states that her book showcases evolution in action by revealing all of humanity's idiots who remove themselves (or neuter themselves, thus negating their capacity for reproduction) from the gene pool in a suitably - or sublimely - idiotic way.
Personally, I ignore the evolutionary spin on the book and just read the awards themselves. As I do, I simultaneously wonder how humanity got to such a state where such idiots run rampant.
Anyhow, it brings to light...seeing as how terrorists will gladly kill themselves or blow themselves up at a chance to get into a paradise where 77 virgins await them (more or less, I'm not sure), do they qualify for the Darwin Awards?
Post your thoughts here.
Personally, I think they do. Why else would so many terrorists want to kill themselves (and other innocents in the process, but that's beside the point here)? To get to the virgins? Well, they aren't virgins forever!
Perhaps they want to rid their stupid genes from our gene pool? What do YOU think? And if you can, post the most eligible winners for Darwin Awards here!
---do they qualify for the Darwin Awards?---
Yes, but they must apply in advance and give precise information about their intended act of terrorism.
That picture is funny :))) It can be considered a Weapon of Mass Destruction...LOL
Thank'ee. War is hell.
A terrorist had constructed a mail bomb, disguised as a gift package. The little package did not reach its desired destination because of insufficient postage, so it was returned to sender. Sender opened it and blew himself up. :)
OH GOD! HOLY CRAP! MY EYES! MY EYES! DAMN YOU!!!!!
Better put some ice on that. :-)
In all actuality, that was a Darwin Award winner in the book I'm reading!
And Slings and Arrows...darn you. Now my eyes are burning!!!
Where the heck was the "Caution - Graphic Images" alert for Hellen?
