The Massachusetts senator has had his eye on the White House since he was eighteen. Now he's about to make his move
...
Two years later, they met again at a Washington dinner and ended up taking a midnight stroll that took them by the Vietnam Memorial on the Washington Mall.
Soon (Theresa) Heinz discovered that, for Kerry, Vietnam is a subject that is never far away. Even in his sleep, Kerry is haunted by Vietnam in nightmares. The first nightmare I heard, I was actually not with him, Heinz says. Before we got married, I was sleeping with one of his daughters in this little shed, a little barn, it was. He was in this little room next door. Then, all of a sudden, I heard this tremendous banging on the wall. I said, 'Oh!' And Alex said, 'It's just Dad.' Kerry laughs an uneasy laugh. So I went back to bed, Heinz continues, and he hit the walls again, and I said, 'Holy mackerel!' The next morning, I said, 'What did you dream about?' He said, 'Why?' I said, 'Because you broke down the house, almost.' He said, 'Vietnam.'

Lets give him the nuclear football to keep in his nightstand!
let's not!
GEEEE...Im glad that he was only in-country for 4 months, and that he only spent a few weeks actually in the Swiftboats, no telling how much of a bigger brain-damaged nincompoop he would be if he spent a full tour in Nam (like everybody else did).
Since when did multi-millionaires(either one of them):
1. Sleep in little sheds or barns?
2. Have to sleep in the same room with a child?
I am willing to bet that Tay Re Say never had to take care of any of her children when they were even an infant. That was the work of the nanny.
It also puts Kerry's Separate Hotel Rooms into a slightly different perspective. After admitting he'd never been to Cambodia on Christmas, imagine how scary it must have been for Theresa to realize those demons originate elsewhere ...
Come on, you're a conservative. It's nu-kew-ler!
What did you dream about? He said, "I drempt that I was just inside Cambodia in my Swift Boat and I was being fired upon by the Khmer Rouge, Cambodian and Vietnamese military. They had gotten drunk celebrating Christmas in their Budhist and Hindu Shrines. Then I heard the voice of President Nixon saying that he never authorized anybody to enter Cambodia. Then the scene changed back to Vietnam and I was wounded by a huge piece of schrapnel that came at me at tremendous speed and dug a hole in me that cause me to bleed. I immediately used my first-aid skills and took out an antiseptic swab and wiped the wound and then placed a small band-aid over the horrific wound that actually dug below the skin line. Then I drempt about the other horrible, bloody wounds that I received, all of them which penetrated below the skin line. That's when I woke up and found myself pounding the walls. It was a horrible, horrible nightmare."
there was rice, rice, everywhere!
Wow. John Kerry was in Vietnam?
Yeah, you're wrong.
more of 'em ping
I'm still trying to figure out how he rode his bicycle to East Germany.
bite me
And so precipitated John and Ter-ay-zuh's first fight:
"Veera Nomm??? YOU were dreaming about another WOMAN?!?!"
