Rumsfeld gave them a very crisp list of all the steps that had been taken to keep the committee informed. Then when they said 'that wasn't specific,' Rumsfeld said that's because we don't know specifics yet. You could almost hear him put the word 'dummy' after every sentence to McCain. Voice dripping with sarcasm, as only Rumsfeld can do.

I didn't hear the sarcasm, but thought Rumsfeld played it straight -- which was all he had to do to profoundly embarrass McCain. I would have loved to hear Rumsfeld's response to Hillary -- just for the record. She is what she sits on.
