A Saudi terrorist suspect might be making his way to the U.S.-Mexico border amid groups of undocumented immigrants, officials with the FBI and the U.S. Embassy said.
Officials on both sides of the border have asked law enforcement officials, including Border Patrol agents and El Paso¹s bridge inspectors, as well as the community at large to be on the lookout for Adnan G. El Shukrijumah, 29, a native of Saudi Arabia who may be using a Guyanese, Canadian or Trinidadian passport.
Shukrijumah was spotted in Honduras earlier this year, FBI officials said, and used to reside in Trinidad and Tobago, off the coast of Latin America. "He is believed to be one of the most dangerous cell leader below the leadership of al-Qaeda who plans to hurt the United States," Art Werge, spokesman for the FBI in El Paso, said.
Officials said Shukrijumah might be using immigrant-smuggling routes through Central America and Mexico to get to the border.
Shukrijumah has reportedly received training in aircrafts and explosives, Werge said. He is about 132 pounds, 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-5 and occasionally wears a beard. He speaks English.
There is a $5,000 reward for information leading to his capture.

Si. Jafar is a ver-r-r-y bad boy.Last I looked, the reward was $ 5 million- not $5000.
Jafar went to school with Jose Padilla- the wannabee "dirty bomber",but didn't get along well with "Abdullah al Espani" as he liked to call himself. Jose,I think was a hustler, and Jafar a "serious man".

I wonder how close it is. You mean the next big attack? Definitely within 3 months unless we disrupt enough of them or stumble upon the plan.

I'm trying to figure out how this works, the Mexican border is only important when there is a terrorist alert? What about the rest of the time?

If muslim wackjobs REALLY want to get Bush out of office, then all they will need to do is sneak some a-hole terrorist assclowns across the border and commit a act of terrorism
the media will jump ALL OVER BUSH for failing to seal and protect our borders and most of his own party would turn against him and rightfully so. He has done NOTHING to protect America from being invaded.
To: FITZ
Shukrijuma had been spotted, according to radio reports 3 weeks ago (at least), in three different Caribbean nations. I'm surprised this is only now being put out to the public.

I'm just dying to hear the excuses from both parties for not sealing the border, at the very least a couple of dozen helicopters at night would help.

One of the only things the Constitution actually calls for the government to DO, is protect the borders.
From Joe Schmoe BP guard, to Jorge Bush. The next attack is thier fault.
Protecting the border is Constitutionally mandated. Yet it doesn't happen.
To: FITZ
Sounds like they don't have a clue where he is.
He could have crossed the border anytime, anywhere.
To: stuck_in_new_orleans
You gotta wonder if it's gonna take an across the border 911 type situation to get someone to guard our border, kinda crazy.

I wonder how close it is.I wonder too how close it is. Today in McAllen the BP caught 22 illegal Chinese in a motel on 10th Street. Tenth street is the main drag in McAllen. My guess is that a little racial profiling was going on as someone called the police who in turn called the BP. These Chinese are headed for Port Isabel detention center and will be speedily processed as soon as they find a Chinese interpreter.
Fitz, you and I both know that these Chinese didn't walk across the bridges. They had to have swam or floated across the Rio Grande river.
My guess is that Shukrijumah is already in the US. He looks too Mexican and it seems the only ones caught around here look different, Farida and the Chinese. No brainers.

U.S., Mexico say border breaches may be tied to terror activity
BY RICARDO SANDOVAL
The Dallas Morning News
MEXICO CITY - (KRT) - Fears that terrorists might enter the United States via remote stretches of the border with Mexico are not based on idle chatter, according to authorities on both sides.
Dozens of bulletins and requests for help have been forwarded by U.S. intelligence agencies to their Mexican counterparts in the last year. The information triggered searches and investigations into a number of incidents. They include:
The possible entry from Belize into Mexico's Quintana Roo state, south of Cancun, of a Middle Eastern migrant named Adnam Gushair Shukrijumah. His name reportedly matches one on a U.S. law enforcement watch list, Mexican officials said. Published reports in Mexico said the nation's law enforcement agencies have been warned by U.S. authorities that Shukrijumah previously had been tracked in Honduras and Panama. ...
