EXCERPTS

TRENTON -- Gov. Jim McGreevey snubbed former FBI director Louis Freeh for the post of state anti-terrorism czar to appoint his alleged lover Golan Cipel.

Freeh offered to assume the post free of charge, but McGreevey opted instead to put Cipel into the job with an $110,000 salary.

That was just a footnote to reports back in 2002, but is now being revisited following McGreevey’s revelation to the world last week that he is gay and carried on a "shameful" extramarital affair with a former employee.

Freeh is a New Jersey native and graduate of Rutgers University and was willing to think about the role he could play, according to a senior DiFrancesco adviser who spoke to The Trentonian on condition of anonymity.

Freeh was not willing to commit to the post unless he had a commitment from both candidates because he did not want his appointment to become a partisan issue.

McGreevey balked.

"We all assumed he [McGreevey] was going to appoint Herb Stern, but it turned out he put Golan in the job," a senior GOP adviser told The Trentonian yesterday.

Former U.S. Attorney Stern was believed to be McGreevey’s pick for the anti-terrorism post........... but McGreevey named Cipel and former Mercer County Assistant Prosecutor Kathryn Flicker to share the role.

McGreevey was panned for his choice to have Cipel at the helm of the office of counter-terrorism. Cipel had no experience in that field. The only item on Cipel’s resume that came close to a counter-terrorism role was a stint as a sailor in the Israeli navy.

Cipel was a public relations expert and published poet, but there had no counter-terrorism experience.

The homosexuals absolutely love gov't employment. They get more protection for their perverted lifestyle there.

I read somewhere (but I can't remember where and therefore cannot back it up) that US gov't employees overseas get 'domestic partner benefits'.

That would explain the number of homos working as civilians for the US in Germany. I saw it firsthand.

If a government employee contacts aids, they are eligible for medical retirement under the CSR/FERS. A military friend of mine was wrongfully terminated from government service for sending a personal homo email joke to a loose lips employee. The pimp employee, told an EEO Rep who is a lesbian, and got my friend terminated. The good news, my friend sued and received a nice settlement from the agency. This was during the klintoon years very difficult for a hard working heterosexual male or female.Bush/Cheney 2004
