EXCERPTS

TRENTON -- Gov. Jim McGreevey snubbed former FBI director Louis Freeh for the post of state anti-terrorism czar to appoint his alleged lover Golan Cipel.

Freeh offered to assume the post free of charge, but McGreevey opted instead to put Cipel into the job with an $110,000 salary.

That was just a footnote to reports back in 2002, but is now being revisited following McGreevey’s revelation to the world last week that he is gay and carried on a "shameful" extramarital affair with a former employee.

Freeh is a New Jersey native and graduate of Rutgers University and was willing to think about the role he could play, according to a senior DiFrancesco adviser who spoke to The Trentonian on condition of anonymity.

Freeh was not willing to commit to the post unless he had a commitment from both candidates because he did not want his appointment to become a partisan issue.

McGreevey balked.

"We all assumed he [McGreevey] was going to appoint Herb Stern, but it turned out he put Golan in the job," a senior GOP adviser told The Trentonian yesterday.

Former U.S. Attorney Stern was believed to be McGreevey’s pick for the anti-terrorism post........... but McGreevey named Cipel and former Mercer County Assistant Prosecutor Kathryn Flicker to share the role.

McGreevey was panned for his choice to have Cipel at the helm of the office of counter-terrorism. Cipel had no experience in that field. The only item on Cipel’s resume that came close to a counter-terrorism role was a stint as a sailor in the Israeli navy.

Cipel was a public relations expert and published poet, but there had no counter-terrorism experience.

The snub is now bringing into question McGreevey’s judgment and ability to govern, and prompting cries for his immediate resignation.

"Well, Mr. Freeh, you're certainly qualified - but I'm talking to another candidate who might do a better job filling this opening."

Yet another illustration that we simply can't afford to have Democrats in charge of homeland security.

There is another possibility.

Maybe Freeh just would not let McGreevy's head accidently "fall" onto his crotch.

That was just a footnote to reports back in 2002 ...

And where was the media?

And where was the Republican party?

First I heard of this was the day McGreevy gave his pity speech, and the fact is just NOW getting out?

Haven't you heard what happened to poor Cipel?

Some newspapers reported that Gov McGay forcibly performed o/s on Cipel.

Don't believe it.

What really happened is that McG accompanied Cipel into the Statehouse urinals when McGay accidentally slipped and fell.

In one of those crazy, unforseen situations, somehow McGay's mouth landed on Cipel's private parts.

Now McGay was so stunned, his mouth locked on Cipel's privates and he couldn't let go no matter how hard he tried.

McGay just kept trying and trying, but his mouth simply would not release Cipel's privates.

Cipel---a poet, sailor, and PR man--was too politically correct to ask McGay to let go of his privates.

Of course, Cipel did manage to say, " Governor, Sir, I believe your mouth is clamped on my privates."

But McG was just too stunned to do anything about it and could not let go for love nor money.

Finally help arrived when McG's aide came in to use the urinal.

The aide helpfully held Cipel down while McGay finished unwrapping his mouth from Cipel's privates.

And that's what really happened.

Freeh wasn't so great. Didn't he screw up under Clinton? Wasn't he more concerned with making the FBI a racial and ethnic reflection of America than with fighting crime?

I don't think any Democrat is a solution to any problem we are facing.

So, he was better qualified than Cipel who just McGreevy's boy toy. But NEITHER were a good choice.

McG just had his latest press conference.

McGreevey to reporters: "Good news and bad news, first the bad news. I am a gay American and am resigning.

The good news is.....I just saved a bundle of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico!"

Them McG said to Cipel ....."gimmee a ball".....

I don't think Cipel's face was the (ahem) thing McG was attracted to.

American politics are so corrupt I doubt we will ever get them straightened out. Homosexuals have infiltrated every walk of life an they are willing to destroy this country to have their way and propmote their lifestyle. They are just like the Democrats, America is secondary to their agenda and if Americans dont awaken we will fall from within.

I thought he was actually the navy guy in an israeli version of the village people. ;-)
