Public Banned From Veterans For Kerry Press Conference
phone report | 8/17/2004 | Armymarinemom

Posted on 08/17/2004 7:54:31 AM PDT by armymarinemom

When Kristinn signed in to the press table he stated that he would be reporting to Free Republic, He was asked for credentials and stated that he didn't have any. The staffer said they would check and stepped into the room and came out with an answer of no. A very large beefy guy guarding the door indicated with a gesture that he would not be allowed in. When he was told that decision was final by a young staffer Kirstinn said. "That's News"

This is the first press conference out of several done at the press club that he has attended where the public has be denied access. When he attended the Swift Boat Vets Press conference in may he was allowed in even when the room was filled to more than capacity.

Kristinn sign in right after Major Garrett.

The good news is that as a union member you have a say in what the union does.

What gave you that silly idea? Union leaders do not take any flack from their members.

Get out of line and you'll find yourself "out" of work, sitting at home, no pay, etc.

Any democrat cannot stand the light of truth.

Each time the light of truth is shined on them, they scatter back to darkness like cockroaches [I hate to compare cockroaches to democrats because it lowers the cockroach but I could not come up with a better comparison] when one turns on a light in a dark room.

Darkness symbolizing evil is appropriate when applied to democrats.

democrats cannot operate in the light of truth.

Kristinn has taken male hormonal shots and has been able to grow a beard to fool the enemy. The voice has gotten deeper and the thong has been ditched. The male persona seems to be working pretty well. Even some of our side seems to be confused.

"if JimRob would get a BETTER BUSINESS MODEL he would be able to afford real press credentials. "

Good idea, he could pimp the model out to work the Republican national convention and use the money to have some full color embossed press credentials printed up by a real printing company, not just some guy with a computer.

Sitting at home with a couple of busted kneecaps.

Getting credential may not be a bad idea

AFAIK, each entity does their own "credentialing". Fundamentally the members of "the press" have no more right to go or be somewhere than anyone else. However those controlling the venue, as long as it's not the government, also have the right to exclude or admit whomever they choose.

This is impossible! I just saw a news story on excite on how Bush vets his audience and Kerry doesn't - he takes everyone!

Nope, no bias there.

Not true. I recently read an article about Kerry's "front porch" appearances. They nixed one home they had been considering because there were too many registered Republicans in the neighborhood.

Front-Porch Chat: Birth of a Kerry Campaign Tactic

But after asking how the sun falls and canvassing Ms. Imponen's neighbors on A Street, a campaign worker called Thursday morning to say no thanks. "She said there were too many registered Republicans," sighed the would-have-been hostess.

That's absurd. We have a Free Press, which means the government is not in the credentialing business. Go to a printer and have some business cards made with the name of your blog or agency. Get a laminated ID at the ID Store (you can find them on line). Pick your own name Freedom Reporting Network News, or some such.
