Hello again my dear FRiends,
I am an anxious mom. My beloved son is traveling with his dad (and dad's girlfriend, who is very nice) to New Hampshire and Maine to visit family late tonight by airline.
I know of no more powerful prayer warriors than you, and I ask you humbly and gratefully to lift my son, his dad, and dad's friend up to the Father, and to pray for their safe passage there and back. Please pray for them to be surrounded by guardian angels, and to travel in love and safety.
Thank you so much, and God bless you...

Dear bootless, I am very familiar with the concern of a mom for a child temporarily out of their loving and protective hands. All the prayers in the world for the well being of this beloved chiled.

A prayer for your family.
But can I ask?
WHY are you so anxious about a routine airline flight?
I mean...if every Freeper who flew daily had a prayer thread, JimRob would need a new server!
I don't mean to be contrary, just, perhaps curious about your worries. :-)

That's a good question, and an interesting one, considering that I'm a pilot as well.
Any time he travels to the Northeast, I'm concerned given that the 9-11 hijackers were roaming through the area en route to Logan Airport in Boston. I think some of them did go through Portland, Maine.
Fortunately, he doesn't fly that often, so I don't think the server's going to suffer... :-)

Yes, I'll miss him, but as my Polish ancestors must have said, "Couldn't hurt."
Seriously, as a mom who will not be with him (he's 12) that whole time, I will always worry about him when he's away. Prayers for him have been on my heart lately, and when that happens, I ask the best prayer warriora I have ever known.
