Makes one wonder if McCain's being shot down was a result of this? maybe we should ask him what he thinks about THAT?

a major reason McCain has to slam the swiftvets is
because of his campaign reform BS. He's a jackass.

McCain acknowledges giving ship locations to the Viet Namese captors in exchange for medical attention.
Seems he and Kerry are birds of a feather and are simply protecting each other.

Puleez, let's be smart on these things. Everyone was talking about bombing Hanoi/Haiphong for years. The real, no-nonsense bombing was in Dec 72. VVAW blabbering in Apr 72 would not have had any intel value to NVN, and certainly didn't cause McCain to be shot down several years EARLIER. BTW, one only had to read the papers or listen to TV/radio in Oct 73 to know we had gone to high DEFCON. Don't give the VVAW more clout or influence than they really had. Parading around in their SGT Pepper, Army surplus store get-ups didn't impress most people.

McCain was shot down in 1967, but he was still being held in Hanoi at this time (he wasn't released until 1973). While Kerry's and other VVAW members' actions may have affected the treatment of the POWs, it could be that some other "guests" of the Hanoi Hilton were there as a direct result of VVAW's treasonous activities.
