50-50 in Florida is plenty to be worried about IMO.
To: POA2
The more people hear W's voice on tv, the higher his numbers get. His numbers go up after playing commercials where he speaks versus ones that just have an unseen voice-over talking about Kerry.
People are going to respond to the RNC convention. It's was a big, big gamble to have it so late, but given the new playing field with 527's, it might be a strategy of brillant (or devastating) consequences.
If not after the convention, the next point of momentum could be after the debates. Kerry is stiff no matter how "articulate" he tries to be. Bush is the ultimate nice-guy-next-door. And, no matter how many juries Edwards has convinced about his ability to channel the dead, I would not want to go toe-to-toe with Dick Cheney about anything. Cheney is intellectually formidable.

The McBride/Jeb Bush race in 2002 was also [supposedly] 50/50 just a few weeks prior to the election.

heres what will happen......kerry will get caught in a whopper in 1 of the debates and will drop like rosie o'donnells butt.
relax Bush ppl

NM will go for Kerry I think. The republicans in this state cannot get their act together, & i don't think Rove is doing any better nationwide. I cannot believe they have let Kerry make this into a dead heat race. Completely inexcusable!!!! Denco

I cannot believe how many people like you are out there that think they are politically smarter than Karl Rove and company. It just boggles my mind.
Oh, and if they're having such a tough time getting organized nationwide, please tell me how they raised $200+ million. Thanks
