The subject of McGreevy came up on another message board I frequent, and the discussion eventually turned to the gay marriage debate. Someone else on the board talked about how the word "gay" has been ruined, and now the word "marriage" is in danger of becoming ruined. This person was almost immediately called a racist and a homophobe.

Actually there have been quite a few articles on FR lately about black support of real marriage, especially in the Christian community. The "sodomy=being born black" is not going over that well with a number of black people.

I would be grossly insulted if my race - which is neutral, benign, and unchangeable, and has NOTHING to do with behavior, were compared as equal to voluntarily engaged in perverted sex acts.
