I concluded years ago that this tends to be true.

The two votes from my three cat(no dogs) household will both be going to Bush.

I am a conservative cat owner. I suspect the division is about 50-50 as it would be for say, chevy vs ford owners...

It seems to make sense but get ready to hear otherwise from a lot of Bush-voting cat lovers out here in Freeperland!

BTW, my wife and I own a cat but we are not particularly attached to it. We procured it for the purposes of keeping rodents out of the house. The cat performs a service for us and in exchange, we provide it with food, shelter and a clean litter box.

And that's a pretty good deal for me, except when the cat takes to scratching up the furniture. Fortunately the cat's propensity for scratching our furniture seems to decrease with age yet it's zeal for catching rodents remains undiminished.

I have always prefered CATS! and I was in the USMC for 12 years and I vote CONSERVATIVE!

So much for generalizations.

Like Marines and true conservatives, Cats are independent animals who do NOT need help to survive.

Dogs, like socialists cannot be left alone and require YOU to feed and take care of them.

The cat people, I have decided, will go overwhelmingly for Kerry; the dog lovers will do the same for Bush.

Way way wrong answer, at least here.

Cats are finicky. Which is just a Madison Avenue euphemism for being snooty, snobbish, and stand-offish. Dogs are honest, friendly, and loyal..... Cats speak French..... Dogs speak English

Just about says it all. Never owned a cat, never will.

What about the Coke vs. Pepsi people? The diet vs. regular cola people? The decaf vs. non-decaf people? The Winston vs. Marlboro people? The menthol vs. regular people? The Ford vs. Chevy people? The astro-turf vs. real turf people? The Levis vs. Wrangler people? The vinegar based vs. tomato based barbecue people? The PC vs. Mac people? The Windows vs. Linux people? The aunt (ant) vs. aunt (ont) people? And don't get me started on the Nascar rivalries.

(How many wars did I just start?)

Many people (or other animals) who trace their origins to communist countries such as the former East Germany become staunch conservative Republicans once they taste freedom...
