What about the Coke vs. Pepsi people? The diet vs. regular cola people? The decaf vs. non-decaf people? The Winston vs. Marlboro people? The menthol vs. regular people? The Ford vs. Chevy people? The astro-turf vs. real turf people? The Levis vs. Wrangler people? The vinegar based vs. tomato based barbecue people? The PC vs. Mac people? The Windows vs. Linux people? The aunt (ant) vs. aunt (ont) people? And don't get me started on the Nascar rivalries.
(How many wars did I just start?)
Your post nicely illustrates the absurdity of this article. I've seen similar dog vs. cat musings from people over the years and not one of them was based on any actual polling data. One such was a theory from John Podesta that "Democrats are dog people. Republicans are cat people."
As usual, the only generalization that's true is that all generalizations are false.
Pepsi! Regular! Non-decaf! Marlboro! Regular! Chevy! A mixture of astro and real! Wrangler! Vinegar-based! PC! Windows! Ont!
BUSH
I'm a Republican and the following are my choices...
Coke, Diet, non-decaf, Marlboro (when I was smoking), non-menthol, Ford, Real Turf, Wrangler, Tomato based BBQ, PC, Windows, Aunt (ant).
Now you know the *right* answers. :)
...the Man O'War vs Secretariat people
Man O'War - Bush
Secretariat - Kerry
(Yes, I swear it!)
