Meanwhile, Gallup has released a poll showing the president's approval rating up to 51 percent.
"No president that has been at or above 50 percent at this point in an election year has lost," Mr. Dowd added. "That is a good sign for the president's re-election."

The devastation in Florida is tragic, but this could help Bush's campaign. I say give them the sun, the moon and the stars. Make them love you George.
If this sounds opportunistic, so be it. We cannot allow that treasonous, lying creep sKerry in the White House. The end justifies the means.

I am sure the Dims and their chorus of Media whores will be calling for Bush to resign so as not to give the impression that his trip is politically motivated.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa President Bush will tour hurricane damage in Florida today on a trip that, while considered official White House business, also provides political opportunities in a state he barely won in 2000.
A media outlet is admitting that Bush won Florida?!?!

Some reporter thought he had a "gotcha" moment by asking if this "quick" trip was politically motivated.
President Bush said back, If I hadn't you all would have said that I haven't come to the state quick enough.
