They're all over the place, which is something to be expected at this point. However, it looks Earl generally can be expected to enter the Gulf, something which I wouldn't care for.
Fortunately, we have most of this week to watch it before taking action, but I think Gulf Coast residents will not be complacent. Charley taught the country a valuable lesson.

YIKES................
I never like these things threatening anywhere - but another one so soon is the gulf is beyond words.

The forecast is pretty solid for the next 3 or 4 days, so it is very likely the storm will be in the gulf in 4 or 5 days. forecasting in the gulf without something big (like a cold front) is difficult. Been a long time since we got a big one. Did you see the pic of Africa? Lots of storms fixin to head this way.

Yeah, it's hopping. As usual we all have to be on guard. I stock really well. I just have to tweak a few things. Funny though, no matter how ready you think you are there is still something that needs to be done right at last :')

Haven't had to water once this year. Have they declared the perpetual drought over?

Yes, Africa is spitting them out like a Tommygun right now. I hope most follow Danielle's lead and head to the north Atlantic to die.
Unfortunately, we're perfectly capable of generating a hurricane out of nothing in our own waters in addition to those developing from tropical waves from Africa. Hurricane season got off to a quiet start, but seems to making up for lost time.

This one looks likely to become "Frances".

I thought the gulf cane season was over, that hurricanes to not form in the Gulf after late june/mid july.
Gulf hurincanes don;t brother me, they are small, Atlantic huricanes on the other hand can be HUGE and very destructive. I pay very close attention to huricanes since I can pee in Galveston bay from my front yard.

Hey, I'm scheduled for next summer (if I was really Cindy :')

Yesterday there was a strong steering influence first toward the west and then swinging in a parabolic arc some 165 degrees and heading to northern Europe, that seems to have broken down now.

Look at it as a huge foul ball off the left-field light pole being caught by the first baseman.

I just looked at the update. He looks like he's headed to the Gulf. Are you saying you think Earl will steer east?
