"one head, one bottom and a torso cannot possibly fly on its own"
A quote to remember when the French take great pains to arrogantly remind us of their supposed cultural superiority.

A British woman born without arms or legs is suing Air France, claiming she was told she could not fly because she has no limbs.True, true. One would need wings, at the very least... :)

It'll get thrown out of court; she doesn't have a leg to stand on. Barumpbump.

"an Air France employee in Manchester told her "one head, one bottom and a torso cannot possibly fly on its own".
My response would have been "that's why I'm taking a plane you moron"

C'mon, they could seat her in the row with the least amount of leg room, and she wouldn't complain...

"fly on IT'S own"???
Makes one boggle greatly at the implications of that statement.
A person isn't a person to them, but an 'it'..

" born without limbs because her mother took the drug thalidomide during pregnancy."Not that it means anything, but hadn't thalidomide already been banned by the 1960's?

When I saw this thread bob to the top of the latest posts, I suspected I'd read it and be furious. But I must admit, the good humor displayed to this point has been disarming.

but only after she paid for a companion to fly with her. ... and amazingly enough, her companion had no head, no torso, but did have arms and legs, thereby fulfilling the Air France requirements.

Dahmer jokes.
I hear Jeffry Dahmer took up a trade in prison, he makes furniture. Mostly arm chairs and footstools. However he lost his shop privileges when he was caught selling arms to Iraq.
