As a long time Windows user, Linux user, and hacker, I wholeheartedly agree that Windows has a lower TC0.

Ah, another reader of Bugtraq. Nice t'meetcha.
Let us not forget that there is a difference between ownership and Øwn3r5h1p. I've found it cheaper to own Linux and Øwn Windows (if you know what I mean...and I think you do). ; )

Immunity's findings clearly show that the best platform for your targets to be running is Microsoft Windows, allowing you unparalleled value for their dollar. This article is written from the point of view of a malevolent hacker, in case you missed it.

Yeah, right. Looks like somebody didn't get the joke.

Odd writeup style. Plus I didn't see a well supported TCO in that document.

Ha, this is pretty funny (the PDF that is).
Windows is ok. As long as its behind my SmoothWall Linux Firewall.

Kind of funny to see MS talk about "Total Cost of Ownership" when their licensing pretty much tells you you don't "own" squat.

For hackers that want to break into a system. It's a hacker's article.

Why is that surprising? Had it been otherwise, Microsoft would've been bankrupt by now.

Owning a system is the same as rooting it.
That might not help much and will likely confuse English and Aussie readers.

Ah, another reader of Bugtraq. Nice t'meetcha. Same here. This is the funniest thing I've seen in a while.
OTOH, I'm in kind of another anti-Microsoft mood now since I spent the last day working around yet another of IE's rendering flaws. A hundred or so new lines of JavaScript and I'm good now (Bush, think I should patent that?). The last one resulted in my clean, neat CSS file getting all jumbled up to work around IE's lack of proper CSS rendering.
