it is amazing how well it is holding together over land for so long.
Thanks for answering... go enjoy the opening ceremony of the Olympics! If you are that far east of Ocala, you are safe and sound.
I'm worried about that easterly shift too...will it pick up more steam when it hits the Atlantic? Experts, please chime in.
Thx for the link...the map won't load tho! doh...
That sounds like a good idea. However, I'm just getting reports from (Murdoch area) Port Charlotte...what's playing on the 'Pics tonight?
Not when you look at the size of the whole thing.
Getting ready to pass over the "Medevial Feast" castle on Hwy-192 now. Still south of I-4, seems to be a little east of Disney, south of Universal Studios.
Hope the air museum south of there doesn't have much damage!
Well, the food part I can certainly relate to, but waking up?? No way!
(agrace's husband)
what do you mean? I don't see any evidence of shearing to strip the tops off of it, it is still organized, its just pushing along.
The experts aren't even experts in this field, your guess is as good as thiers. I think it will strengthen, how much who knows.
Dunno, but I shifted to JAX radar to be sure it wasn't just an optical illusion as the bands exited the scope. there is definitely a NE flow above JAX. Will be interesting to see what happens to that band of red t-storms when it hits JAX. That seems to be the point of departure.
You have to understand what the Father's Will is. It is not something simple.
For example, this thing could have hit the Tampa area head on, which would have been much worse.
In the earthquake in the early 1990's in Northridge, which I visited shortly after it hit, I was later told that it put the pornography business out of business for a period of time because of all buildings needed to keep pornography going were badly damaged to duplicate film.
I don't know if that is true or not, but how do you explain the Titanic.
It was the owners who said God Himself could not sink it.
We are a nation that kills 1.3 million unborn babies a year.
There will be some abortion clinics in Tampa and Orlando that will be forced to be closed on their busy day -- Saturday -- tomorrow.
The Father's Willis too complicated to address in a simple chat.
In the first public miracle that Jesus performed, He told His mother: "My time has not yet come."
His mother did not say "please do this."
She just said: "Do whatever He commands you" to the servants at the Wedding Feast at Cana.
Jesus could have chosen to do nothing.
And clearly, if you do believe in the Christian beliefs, Jesus was saying that "His time had not come" was the Father's Will.
But that the Will of the Father was changed.
It is like trying to explain why Israel has been able to survive many vicious attacks by the Arabs and even the initial war back in the 1940's.
On the first anniversary of Mother Teresa of Calcutta's death, she clearly intervened in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in an extra-ordinary way.
What happened that day at Delta Women's Clinic lead to a Major Lawsuit, a state Law in Louisiana that Abortion Clinics must have health inspections (which Planned Parenthood and NARAL blocked in the courts as long as they could).
The final event that was an answer to these prayers happened on the anniversary of Roe vs Wade, when the mother of the woman involved in an abortion that could not be completed and the unborn baby's heart still beating is something you may not be ready for.
Jesus said: "Do not give what is Holy to dogs [the unworthy]".
This story was sent as an indication that the intercession of Mother Teresa was real in this case, and was part of the process of the 2nd stage of her becoming a Saint.
She had a miracle in India that was used for the beatification of Mother Teresa, so this was just a small part. (That miracle defies what medicine would say about how a hernia might be cured overnight without any medical procedure.
87MPH gusts at Orlando airport reported by TWC. 77 at Kissimmee.
Hits Daytona at 11PM.
(Robt whispers conspiracsilly to agrace's hubby ...)
Don't tell her I how I found out, but she's supposed to wake you up gently the next time the baby cries at night ....
Nekkid and with a cup of coffee. 8<)
I'm 12 miles NW of downtown Orlando. We are starting to get some stiff wind, and the center of the storm will not hit Orlando for another 15 minutes or so.
I'm OK with this as long as we don't get the tornados.
I'm quite aware that projections are inaccurate and can change quickly, as they did this afternoon. For instance, Hugo was aiming directly toward us, and took a slight jag at the last minute and missed us completely. Our good fortune, Charleston's bad.
That's one reason we spent the afternoon "battening down", even though the projections showed that we were no longer really threatened.
Power is going on and off in Winter Park....
Thanks for the report.
Well, it's a good thing you're OK with this, because if you weren't, we were going to call the whole thing off.../annoyingsarcasm
