Rush on McGreevy: Sympathy for living a lie

I really felt sorry for McGreevey when I first heard his story.

That was before he made his resignation speech. His speech was such an obvious attempt to make us pity him that I began to see him as a calculating individual.

Imagine Mc Greevey's speech without his references to his sexual confusion. Not much left, is there?

When Rush said he was living a lie and you can't make people happy was that he was living in a marriage from hell and the only way to get out of it was to numb himself with drugs.

Once he was sober he figured out to dump the wife and has been a heck of a lot happier.

I listened to his opening remarks. I thought they were honest and sincere and I must admit that it crossed my mind that he was about to announce that he is also gay.
