RNA could form building blocks for nanomachines
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Microscopic scaffolding to house the tiny components of nanotech devices could be built from RNA, the same substance that shuttles messages around a cell's nucleus, reports a Purdue University research group.

"One of our main concerns right now is that, over time, RNA tends to degrade biologically," he said. "We are already working on ways to make it more resistant to degradation so that it can form long-lasting structures."

So anything we don't yet understand is impossible. The soul of a new science.
Don't be discouraged. No-one is saying it's impossible. There are scientists around the globe searching for a naturalistic origin of life. Your dream may be realized someday, but as of now - no dice.
This is not news, though. RNA world has been in trouble for a while now.
Well, why not?
After all RNA is made of molecules, which are a bunch of atoms held to gether by..... what?
and them atoms are a bunch of protrons and neutrons and electrons held together by.... what?
and them sub-atomic particles consist of oh, goodness a BUNCH of things, held together by... what?
