Dear *Dem SPAM receiver*,
I'm interrupting John Kerry's dispatches from the road to tell you about something that will make you angry, but which is important for you to hear.
We knew it was coming: the Bush campaign and several allied right-wing groups are using August to launch a vicious smear attack against John Kerry. They think we're vulnerable this month because while George Bush is still able to raise money for attack ads, Kerry had to stop fundraising at the Democratic convention last week. They're taking this opportunity go for the jugular.
We need you to join us in this fight today by supporting the Democratic Party.
https://www.democrats.org/support/kerry.html
The worst of the current wave of attacks is coming from a Republican-funded group called "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth." (I'll call them by a more accurate name: Swift Boat Veterans for Bush.) The group is led by a longtime Republican operative and financed by GOP contributors with strong tries to President George W. Bush. Their function in the overall Republican strategy is this: tear down John Kerry, since Bush has no record or vision to run on.
The Swift Boat ad is full of lies. Thirteen men who never served with John Kerry lie about knowing him and viciously attack his record. It is a new low for the Republicans.
Every time they have attacked Kerry like this, it has only made Democrats stronger. When they ran dishonest attack ads (like the unbelievable new one on the air right now), thousands of new supporters gave the resources needed to fight back on the airwaves.
Now that the general election has begun, they're hoping things are different. They're going to be sorely disappointed, because we are not alone. The Democratic National Committee is well prepared to take on this fight.
And therefore I'm asking you: everything you did for our campaign, please do now for our Democratic Party. Give them the resources they need to fight against these right-wing attacks:
https://www.democrats.org/support/kerry.html
The Democratic Party is responsible for putting organizers and volunteers into the field and turning out the millions of votes we need to win. We literally cannot win this election without the Party.
https://www.democrats.org/support/kerry.html
You and I know that, if we so much as yield an inch to George Bush and the Republicans this month, we'll live to regret it. In fact, we may live to regret it for four long years. Join with me in supporting the Democratic Party today.
Thank you,
Mary Beth Cahill

I got on their mailing list (somehow) and usually its nothing more than hate, hate, give me money. Well they're scared, I smell blood in the water about these Swifties. They're still saying give me money of course, but they're also banging the drums of war with this "liar liar pants on fire" ad hominem against these guys, repeatedly misstating that none of them served on Kerry's exact boat, (except Steven Gardner did and
all these guys were around him. Why would they regret it if there wasn't verifiable substance to these Swift boat vet claims?

Kerry Lies
War Criminal or War Hero,
See both you cannot be.
You claimed you burned a village,
Sounds like a crime to me.
Cambodia in Sixty-Eight,
You say that you were there.
You said Nixon said you werent,
Just why would Nixon care?
He wasnt even president,
Till Nineteen Sixty-Nine.
But details never bother you,
Bold lies do suit you fine.
Three Purple Hearts for paper cuts,
A Bronze and Silver Star.
Then home you came, threw them away,
But look now, there they are.
You testified with still more lies,
About brave fighting men.
The things you claimed that they did,
Just arent true now or then.
So tell us please John Kerry,
Which lie we should believe.
Oh what a tangled web youve weaved,
You practice to deceive.

Of course, they blame this on Bush. If they had one iota of proof that the Administration was behind the ad and the book, they'd be screaming it from the rooftops.
They are screaming about it though, a sure sign of their panic. Nothing thrills me more than a liberal in panic mode. Silly hateful fools.

bla bla bla boo hoo, that's all the dems have to say. It was once said "don't raise your voice when when you should reinforce your argument" the Liberals really don't know how to reinforce their argument all they can do Bi### p#ss, and moan.

I joined it due to my sick sense of humour... It really is mindless nonsense and money grabbing most of the time.

My thoughts exactly. At the Convention they made such a fuss of Kerry quae war-hero with that gut-wrenching "I'm reporting for duty" stuff; this is really shooting out their feet of clay.

The wonderful thing about their screaming is that it just brings more attention to the ad. :-)

I want to cast a vote..
I want four more years of hell for the Democrats!
I want them to have four more years of watching their promises of social reform, and their war on poverty fulfilled by a Republican. I want them to watch as their party becomes unnecessary, a waste of tax payer dollars.
I want them to watch as their members abandon ship and join either the Republicans, or the Greens, or the Libertarians...
I want them to feel as if they were living in their worst nightmare... The end of the Democratic Party.
To: Jenya
Tying the Bush campaign directly to a 527 organization is a huge mistake by the Dems....
They've been able to distance themselves from the MoveOn.org group so far... but if they start telling people that the 527 groups are tied to campaigns, more people will start tying the "Bush is Hitler" rhetoric coming from MoveOn directly to the Democrats.

Tying the Bush campaign directly to a 527 organization is a huge mistake by the Dems.... The whole CFR is confusing to nearly all Americans. Like this part;
So if I go and give money to Kerry this month, does that mean Kerry gets in trouble??? What nonsense.

I guess Mary Beth thinks Michael Moore served with George Bush then? (sarcasm off)

Kerry is now responding to the Swifties about Cambodia by saying he was "just close to Cambodia," not actually in that country.
If that assertion were true, who would want a Comander-in-Chief would could not determine where he was in a time of war? Crossing that border into Cambodia could have led to a serious diplomatic incident? Seems like a competent officer-in-command would at least have known his own location, particularly if he were going to reference that command as a basis for running for the Presidency.

Kerry has already yielded. By refusing to release his records, he is proving to the public he has something to hide.
