I am a swing voter
Posted on 08/12/2004 12:05:29 AM PDT by Lepidopteran
I am a swing voter, neither Republican nor Democrat. I supported President Bush in his response to September 11 and I supported the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. But I like John Kerry's message about the need to do something about the people in this country who have no health insurance. It's a hard choice.

What does ZOT mean?Oh boy. Now you've done it, you've really opened a can of worms now. I know you couldn't possibly understand the enormity of this query but still, it was a monumental mistake to ask. Let me back off about 5 feet, just to be on the safe side.
Originally ZOT! was a cartoon term for someone getting zapped, like from God. On this forum it has another, dastardly meaning. It has a life of its own, almost, except the Viking Kitties are the ones who control the ZOT!
Next question: whats a Viking Kitty... lol..

I just wrote it to anybody that would read it. It wasn't aimed at you. It was what I would say to anybody that wanted socialised medicine. I just got to thinkin the other day, there's nowhere for me to go. The Cubans come here, the Kanooks come here, the Mexicans come here, but I can't go anywhere. Everybody wants to take what I have here(freedom), but I can't get it anywhere else. I'm 53 and we've already lost so much. I can't even describe my childhood to my daughter and make her believe how it used to be in this country.

I say we ZOT the troll now and be done with it.Couldn't agree more.

ir·re·gard·less ( P ) Pronunciation Key (r-gärdls)
adv. Nonstandard
Regardless.
[Probably blend of irrespective, and regardless.]
Usage Note: Irregardless is a word that many mistakenly believe to be correct usage in formal style, when in fact it is used chiefly in nonstandard speech or casual writing. Coined in the United States in the early 20th century, it has met with a blizzard of condemnation for being an improper yoking of irrespective and regardless and for the logical absurdity of combining the negative ir- prefix and -less suffix in a single term. Although one might reasonably argue that it is no different from words with redundant affixes like debone and unravel, it has been considered a blunder for decades and will probably continue to be so.

ZOT is when the viking kitties vote a troll off the island.

You totally IGONORED all of the civil, well reason posts, but you want to know what a ZOT is?
Okay,a ZOT is when your account here gets FRIED,which is about to happen.
Now,before that happens, tell us WHY you've ignored thoughtful post, haven't answered a one of them, and WHY you think that Kerry is going to give out FREE health care, which is just a lie anyway.
To: Lepidopteran
My skin is thick enough but I don't need this kind of abuse. I will look elsewhere to help make my decision in November.
You are not being abused in every post. There have been plenty of constructive arguments offered and you have chosen to either ignore them or respond to factual, reasoned explanations as 'abuse.'
You may therefore be more comfortable in another forum such as:
