This is flippin' hilarious. Awesome ads. I especially like the following quote...

"It's disgusting that the president's political allies are now using race as a political weapon," said Bill Lynch, deputy manager of the Kerry campaign.

Disgusting indeed. How dare the Republicans do something the Demoncraps do ad-nauseum every single election cycle!

Now someone needs to come up with the Ole sheets byrd in a add with his use of the n world and say this is a supporter of terri kerry.

I think that would play well in the black community.

"I have a long history of involvement with and support of the black community," Rooney said. "For 21 years I have gone to an all-black church. They finally elected me over other black people to their church board. I'm one of them. I don't know what it has to do with health savings accounts."

He's got allot of money and credibility in the black community.

Both firms specialize in medical savings accounts, created by Republican-backed 1996 legislation, and health savings accounts, which were created by President Bush's 2003 Medicare prescription drug legislation...I like the way they're thorough in explaining the background of those Republicans who finance these ads and imply that they're going to get something for themselves by doing so...the motivations of George Soros, on the other hand, are never explored (oil interests in Russia which will be cheapened by stability in the mideast?) - I guess Soros is merely acting out of the goodness of his heart.....

"If the lib media had been around in 1945:

Zionists have yet to comment on charges that they are behind the release of pictures of alleged war crimes that some say took place under the National Socialist Government of Germany. There is much controversy about this in the US occupied portions of that nation."

Rooney sold Golden Rule to UnitedHealth Group Inc. for a reported $893 million in September 2003, just as Congress moved toward passage of a tax break for health savings accounts that will cost the Treasury $16.5 billion in lost revenue over the first five years.

Of course they didn't phrase it as "saved taxpayers $16.5 billion...". They also didn't mention that it made health insurance more affordable, which might be of interest to blacks/whites/others...

Don't tell me that the black community is waking up to the fact that the Dimorats have taken them for granted for the last 60 years. If so, THIS IS GREAT NEWS. Are these ads on Hip Hop stations?

Many people do not know that GW rec'd over 30% of the black vote in his reelection as Governor of Texas in l998. Do it again Dubya; do it again.

Woohoo!

This is terrific news. This is precisely what Republicans have been needing to do for ages. We've conceded the black vote by expecting them to come to listen to us on the networks and stations we like to listen to and watch, rather than us reaching out to talk to them on the stations they like to listen to and watch. The fact that whites and blacks usually don't watch and listen to the same entertainment has hardly been a secret, and Democrats have controlled those media outlets and have been feeding them 100% unfiltered liberal propaganda of the most excessive sort possible for decades. It's as much our fault as anyone else's for not talking to them.

If I see one person come on this thread and say "This is an example of how we shouldn't pander", I swear I will go ballistic. Only a -real- bigot could claim that an effort like this was "pandering". Serial offenders, consider yourselves warned. You know who you are.
