The specific malice of taking sperm via a perfeorated condom, freezing it, and then inserting the sperm into his wife once he meets her is certainly much lower than IVF/Masturbation, etc.

All the same, it is still a seperation of the unitive and procreative aspects of sex as you note. I can't imagine the Church blessing such a scenario as entirely without fault.

Masturbation is considered to be up there with bestiality, fellatio, and homosexual/heterosexual sodomy in its specific malice

Well, I suppose that fellatio involves "malice" is if the "NO TEETH" rule is deliberately violated....

It also probably involved masturbation.

How dreadful. That could lead to dancing!

Does that all make sense? I'm not asking you to agree with it, but only to agree that I have a logical basis for my beliefs in accepting the teachings of the Catholic Church.

It has some sort of internal logic, like much of the Bible, but it is utterly unpersuasive, like much of the Bible.

Thanks.

BTW, your posts here are truly helpful to those who would open up their hearts and minds to their content.

Meanwhile, I have to go and reinforce the table my computer is on so it can better support the weight of your arguments. Cheers.

More precisely, the fallacy lies in an incorrect definition of "unnatural". As Heinlein (IIRC) put it, Hoover Dam is every bit as "natural" as a beaver dam.

So, who is bringing up semen?

Okay, I stand corrected. However, it was a rather clinical discussion.

In any event, the vast majority of American men indulge in these so-called "homosexual acts." So, following your logic, America is a majority-homosexual country. That makes YOU the deviant.

Some time you should read "Fellatio, Masochism, Politics, and Love", by Leo Abse, a Member of Parliament in Britain. Its about this very topic.

It really does come down to fear for your ilk. Fear of sex. Fear of disease. Fear of "damnation."

I don't fear sex, and certainly not disease. Fear of the Lord is how we would prefer to describe your last, not fear of damnation. Its not really so much a cowering fear as I think you picture it, but an overpowering awe.

The fear of STD's is especially prevalent among religious people. It's almost clinically phobic.

Well, 1 in 5 Americans has one. Sounds like playing Russian Roulette to me. No thanks. Oh, BTW, they are Veneral Diseases. VD. Lets stick to proper terms, and not PC claptrap.

"Some moral theologians and ethicists see these techniques as assisting the conjugal act. Others see it as replacing it," he said. "Until such time as the Vatican speaks, Catholics contemplating the use of IUI or GIFT should inform themselves of both sides of the moral and theological argument and then make a decision in good conscience."

Rubbish. A Catholic must form their consciences to coincide with the Truth. How can a Catholic in the USA not know about the Church's teaching on such a fundamental matter? Whether priests talk about it or not, we are all obligated to learn these basic tenets as faithful Catholics. To not take the time to learn and accept the truth is inexcusable.

If you could have judged his intentions, you could have shot him if you had the moral license from a government to do so.

Ok, manly-man, is it only "climaxing" in a woman's mouth the part you have trouble with? Anything short of that is ok? [This isn't a churlish question, I have a point to make]

The climaxing is the specifically sinful act, yes. In theory, provided there is no danger of climax, one could indulge in this prior to normal intercourse. However, I myself personally have a problem with the entirety of the act, since I think it pseudo-homosexual on its face.

No, no! Having sex standing up leads to dancing. Masturbation leads to blindness.

The primary purpose of combat skill is the defense of oneself or others for whom one has assumed responsibility. I'll expect you to be consistent, and comment upon the immorality of exhibition boxing.

I don't expect you to be persuaded. I only expect you to agree that I and the Church hold an internally consistent position and that we aren't being irrational.

Moral license comes from government??

You really do not want to go there....

As Heinlein (IIRC) put it, Hoover Dam is every bit as "natural" as a beaver dam.

Beavers and woodpeckers destroy trees too, while sheep and goats mow grasses down. Many animals create elaborate tunnels. Birds create small structures for homes. Humans being (ooo, bad pun, sorry) part of the natural environment, their additions to it are every bit as natural as those of animals.

A truly unnatural addition to Earth would be an alien spacecraft and crew.

Exhibition boxing (and wrestling and the like) is not (normally) done with the intent to irreperably injure the opposing party, which is the purpose of combat.

So I don't need to take up your challenge since there is no parrallel in the world of legitimate prize-fighting.

"If he wanted to become a father, he certainly could have done so prior to his treatment. He and wife were probably to busy with birth control at the time."

The issue I have with you comment is that it seems to be judgmental based on wrong assumptions.

I guess you have a problem with your wife using her hands on your, too? That certainly carries a risk for climax. By your definition of homosexual behavior, a woman using her hands on you is no different from a guy doing.

Do you and you wife engage in this homosexual behavior?

In addition, a woman's orgasm contributes to impregnation by distorting the cervix so that it reaches the expected seminal fluid. By giving your woman an orgasm without having an ejaculation, you are defeating this function. Anyway, on its face, the entire oral sex act with a woman is no different than lesbian behavior since no pregnancy will result.

Following your logic, getting a sperm count analysis would also be a sin since coitus interruptus must be committed so that you can provide the doctor with a sample.
