http://www.nrlpac.org/, the Political Action Committee of National Right To Life now has their 1 page flyer comparing the two major party candidates on the most important issue of this (and all) elections: Where do they stand on abortion?
You can download the pdf version and print it out at the link above. On left hand column click "Compare the Candidates".
You can also order quantities directly from them at no charge. This is an easy yet very effective thing most Pro-Life people AND GROUPS can do. Many Pro-Life groups order hundreds at a time and distribute them in their area. E mail Tracie Carter at tbare@nrlc.org to order. They normally will get them out the next day.
I took a snapshot of the pdf and posted it below so all can see it immediately.
Visit the page for more related info.

KERRY CHOOSES RUNNING MATE WITH EXTREME POSITION ON ABORTION In response to John Kerrys selection of John Edwards as his running mate, NRLC Political Director Carol Tobias said, With John Edwards, Kerry has selected a running mate whose position is as extreme as his own, even opposing the ban on partial-birth abortions. In 1999 Edwards voted against the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act, and in 2003 he attacked President Bush for signing the bill, which would ban partial-birth bortions unless necessary to save a mother's life. "Laci and Conner's Law" would recognize unborn children as murder victims when they are killed by criminals in violent federal crimes. This bill, also known as the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, was enacted this year despite Edwards' votes against it.
Edwards also voted in favor of tax subsidies for abortion on demand for federal employees.
"During his nearly six years in the U.S. Senate, John Edwards -- like John Kerry -- has consistently voted according to the dictates of hard-line pro-abortion advocacy groups, and contrary to the policies favored by most Americans," said Douglas Johnson, NRLC legislative director.
Whenever Edwards has been present to vote, he has supported the ongoing filibusters against President Bush's judicial nominees. He voted six times in favor of the filibuster that blocked the confirmation of Miguel Estrada, who would have been the first Hispanic ever to sit on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. Edwards also has voted in favor of the filibusters of Texas Supreme Court Justice Priscilla Owen and former Alabama Attorney General William Pryor, who were nominated to federal courts of appeals. As a trial lawyer in 1985, John Edwards channeled the words of an unborn baby girl for a jury. But his voting record in the U.S. Senate on issues such as partial-birth abortion and "Laci and Conner's Law" indicate that he no longer hears the cries of the unborn. Read "Edwards Falls Deaf," an essay by NRLC Legislative Director Douglas Johnson.
For an overall summary of Senator Edwards voting record on pro-life issues click here. For details on each specific vote by Senator Edwards, see the NRLC Senate scorecards for 1999-date here: http://www.capwiz.com/nrlc/home/ Read about Kerry's view on Unborn Victims of Violence NRLC is the nation's largest pro-life organization, with 50 state affiliates and approximately 3,000 local affiliates nationwide. NRLC works through legislation and education to protect those threatened by abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, and assisted suicide. |

bump for lead over the weekend.
Thanks, if you don't mind, I would like to post your picture as our lead story over the weekend on Christian-news-in-maine.com
In considering abortion,
the question is not
when Human Life begins,
but how and when it will be ended.

Election Day and Christian Responsibility
The elections of 2004 are a critical juncture for the future and direction of our nation.
This year voters will either defend the Culture of Life, or advance the culture of death. As Christians, we have a clear and moral obligation to register to vote and to carefully consider the candidates' position on the sanctity of LIFE when we cast our vote.
Christians are called to vote with a PROPERLY FORMED CONSCIENCE. This can be explained with one sentence from our LORD, which applies, even inside the voting booth, Whatsoever you do to the least of these my brethren, you do to Me (Mt.25:40). From The Gospel of Life: Abortion and euthanasia are crimes, which no human law can claim to legitimize. In the case of an intrinsically unjust law, such as a law permitting abortion or euthanasia, it is therefore never licit to obey it, or to `take part in a propaganda campaign in favor of such a law, or vote for it'.
What about the other issues? "Calls to advance human rights are an illusion if the right to life itself is subject to attack." Faithful Citizenship. A powerful consideration from Fr. Frank Pavone, "If a candidate can't respect the life of a little baby, how is he supposed to respect ours?" From A Brief Catechism for Catholic Voters: A disqualifying issue is one which is of such gravity and importance that it allows for no political maneuvering. It is an issue that strikes at the heart of the human person and is non-negotiable. A disqualifying issue is one of such enormity that by itself renders a candidate for office unacceptable regardless of his position on other matters. FIVE such disqualifying issues are Abortion, Euthanasia, Fetal Stem Cell Research, Human Cloning, and homosexual marriage.
Participation in the political process is a virtue, and every vote counts. Christians have every right to strive by legitimate means to shape public policy according to their moral convictions. We are each, individually, called to help build a Culture of Life-voting in defense of LIFE is among the most important ways.
Children waiting to be born cannot speak for themselves-we are their voice. We must speak up in their defense at the voting booth. If we do not, millions more will never be allowed to speak.
This map has 17.5 states blacked out. The population of these states is equal to the number of legal surgical abortions since 1973. Perhaps this visual perspective helps one to grasp the number 44,000,000-that's 44 MILLION PEOPLE who are gone, dead--robbed of their God given Constitutional right to LIFE.
Help end this tragedy, promote registering and VOTING PRO-LIFE.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. Edmund Burke (1729 - 1797)

You are probably referring to Peter Singer, "Bioethics" professor at Princeton. Do a Freep search or google on the person. He is evil IMO.

Thanks, it is great, but I did not write it.
The Director of http://www.lartl.org asked me to put it on the entrance page when I built the site.
Come to think of it I don't know who the author is. Anybody?
