I think I heard last night on local Houston weather that they were concerned about storm #2 hitting the upper TX coast.
To: RightWhale
The two centers don't look strong or organized as they were yesterday.Remember, you're looking at a water vapor image (not the usual IR that shows clouds) and they often do not show centers very well since the center has high vapor content and is often obscured by cirrus (ice crystal) clouds.

I appreciate the much needed comedy breaks. Even the yuks that can, from time to time, be a bit on the dark side.

Next time we have a Hurricane Bonnie, I DEMAND that the very next succeeding storm be named Clyde.
(Sorry, Clive.)

Oh, I find gallows humor to be outrageously funny myself,
even if it is borderline distasteful.
My only complaint is that I missed what was deleted.
There are times when such mysteries can be very frustrating.

Maybe a naughty Rohrshach interpretation?Zactly. Gosh, the mods are touchy today. That was really lightweight stuff I wrote, too.

I work as a senior tech for the NOAA CDA ground station located at Wallops, VA. This is the primary site that track the GOES birds. Very interesting stuff that is provided and one of the Nation's most valuable assets. We track 3 GOES sat. and several POES or polar orbital sat.
The station has grown quite a bit since the late 60's. There should be a launch end of this year of a new GOES sat.

If you say so...
I surf with my browser's multimedia plug-ins disabled,
so I'm pretty well shielded from exposure anyway.

The whole internet has gone mad. Not just the Internet. I am retiring soon, and when I retire I will sleep all day and stay up all night and leave the house only for emergencies such as running out of tobacco or garlic. I am already staying home weekends and find the condition of the roads amazing on Monday mornings. Glass and plastic everywhere and black tire skidmarks leading over every precipice. I don't know what goes on out there on weekends, but it may have to do with precipitates.
