Peterson's ex-mistress set to testify
Test results pending on tarp found near body
REDWOOD CITY, California (CNN) -- Taped telephone conversations between Scott Peterson and his former mistress, Amber Frey, are expected to make up the heart of testimony when Frey takes the stand in Peterson's double murder trial Tuesday morning.
Frey began taping calls in December 2002, after meeting with detectives less than a week after the disappearance of Peterson's pregnant wife, Laci.
"The prosecution can argue that there is a motive for murder, and we'll see Scott Peterson wormed his way into her life and into her heart," said Frey's lawyer, Gloria Allred.
Allred described her client -- a 29-year-old massage therapist and a single mother of two -- as nervous but prepared. Her testimony is expected to last at least a week.
Peterson is charged with killing his wife around Christmas Eve 2002 and dumping her body into San Francisco Bay.

FYI..Nancy Grace on CourtTV is doing a LIVE show everynight this week outside the courthouse..8PM EST...well worth watching..she loathes Scott, and his lawyer..yesterday she made the point that geragos earlier promised to NAME the killer..she suspects that he will try to implicate Amber as the culprit..I'd also say the odds are 50/50 that before this is over, Gloria Allred will shoot Geragos dead, on live TV, then get off via jury nullification..
What's up with the before and after pictures? The woman had just found out that her boyfriend was married and was accused of killing his wife and child. How do you expect someone to look when faced with news like this?

I'm glad you posted that pic. No offense meant to Amber, but before her makeover, she appeared to be plain. She looked ill, actually. I wouldn't want to be in her situation right now, that's for sure. If SP is guilty, and I think he is, I hope that Amber can provide the testimony to put him away.
That was Gloria Allred's handiwork. She should have been left alone. That hair color aged her 10 years.

In all fairness she can't help that she is a horse-face. If she helps put that s.o.b. Peterson away, more power to her.
Very true. I haven't followed this trial very closely. She had an affair with Snot Peterson, right? Is Amber's second child his?
Just curious if it is possible.
The next thing is, I hope she realizes how lucky she is (or maybe her first child is). If Peterson was opposed to having children, had she married Peterson he could very well have done something to her child.
