Somewhere around age 14 they lost all control over her. So this is really making the best of a bad situation.

Really, what else is Jewel DeNyle going to do ? What is she going to put on her resume ? Put it all behind her and go somewhere where porn doesn't exist ? She was/is one of the top industry stars for years and there is no post-porn career. So moving into the business side of it is the best option for her.

A fluffer is someone (um, -usually- a female) who helps get the male stars ready for their scenes. And I'm sure you can imagine how they do so.

"I think it's great that Jewel's parents have an open mind about their daughter being in the adult industry," says Michael Stefano, a co-owner of Platinum X and a performer in the industry. "Jewel is very close with both of her parents and would do anything for them."

Words fail me.

Shalom.

All snarkiness aside, I'm not sure you're correct. The "Republican Ideals" mentioned in the article are also "Libertarian Ideals". While you can find Republicans who will champion porn, they are fewer and further between than libertarians who do so. (And I'm not trying to besmirch libertarians or Libertarians, since I'm still conflicted over whether or not I am one).

I think if he were honest with himself, he would a)admit that he's really moved toward the Libertarian camp, and b)confess that he watches Jewel's tapes regularly....

I'd like to think I'd start sleeping outside on grates before I'd ever agree to start making money by exploiting my own daughter.

I suspect you would be just as unlikely to agree to exploit someone else's own daughter.

Just a hunch.

Shalom.

The shrug of the shoulders here kind of reminds me of the reported reactions of Monica Lewinsky's parents when all that business with 'ol Bill broke publically. I personally read thousands of pages of Independent Counsel documents in 1998 and not once did I find even a hint that anyone close to Monica counseled her about the practical and moral problems with an adulterous affair with the President of the United States. Hell, her Mom even helped her pick out clothes for her "dates" with Bill!

How about Democrat Party dad likes to watch his daughter performing so much he takes a job with her porn company to get free seats?
_______________

LOL. Ooops. He was a republican.

Now I'm sure you'll tell us that he wasn't actually a member of the GOP, 'cuz they don't do that sort of stuff. Let's face it, bad behavior knows no political party.

Two (not necessarily related) thoughts:

1. Some people don't raise kids, they just have 'em.

2. People should grow up before they have children.

Shalom.

There are lots of us "Small-l's" in the GOP. For me, it's a matter of logical consistency. If I don't want the Government messing with me, then I really don't have the right to ask that Government to force these people to behave. They're all adults. They can make their own decisions. My opinion about the morality of those decisions shouldn't necessarily translate into Government policy; not if I don't want the same Government sticking its big, fat nose into my affairs.
