Canadian police investigate anti-Muslim flyers
www.chinaview.cn 2004-08-13 00:44:18
OTTAWA, Aug. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- Canadian police is investigating a rash of flyers discovered at Ryerson University in Canada's largest city of Toronto threatening Muslim students with violence and death, it is reported here Thursday.
One poster, signed by a group calling itself the Full Blooded Israeli Brigades, reads: "We ask that whenever you spot a Muslim that you beat them and cause harm to them. Kill these Islamic infidels."
A lot of Arabic and Muslim students are fearing being on this campus, said Nahla Darkazanli, a member of the Arab Students Association.
The flyers were posted on bulletin boards in prominent locations around campus last week.
Omar Alghabra, president of the Canadian Arab Federation, said he has never seen anything like this before. "When I read them, I was just shocked. I can only think that it is generated by pure hate or ignorance," he said. Enditem

Because the English isn't that of a native speaker, and the word choices sound distinctly arabic???
That, and the name chosen for the "group". It's distinct, isn't it.
That too.
Bush Aide: No Evidence of Imminent Threat
Friday, August 13, 2004
WASHINGTON Two weeks ago, when Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge (search) warned of possible Al Qaeda attacks, the "where" was very specific: financial institutions in New York City, Washington and Newark, N.J. The "when," however, was a mystery.
And since Ridge's announcement, the Bush administration has discovered no evidence of imminent plans by terrorists to attack U.S. buildings, a White House official acknowledged Thursday.
Some documents and computer files seized in Al Qaeda (search) raids included surveillance reports of the financial buildings during 2000 and 2001, which prompted warnings Aug. 1 from the White House about possible threats. But nothing in the documents themselves has suggested any attack was planned soon, the official said.
"I have not seen an indication of an imminent operation," the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity with reporters from nearly a dozen news organizations. Investigators are still poring over volumes of the seized information.
Immediately after the warning, police sealed off some streets near the Citigroup Center building and the New York Stock Exchange (search) in New York; put employees at the International Monetary Fund (search) and World Bank buildings in Washington through extra security checks; and added barricades and a heavily armed presence around Prudential Financial Inc.'s headquarters in Newark.

I'm shooting from the hip here, but I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is actually an islamic attack on judaism.
Naaaahhhhhhh! That would never happen...
Thanks for sharing this ExSoldier.
This kind of pc stuff must be exposed.
Thank you for doing just that.
That is not the verbage of an Israeli or a Jew.
You may have shot from the hip, but you hit the bullseye
God's gifts are great. I know that prophecy is considered the greatest gift, but discernment is the light that guides us through the swamp.
Prayer has physical force, JM. I'm glad that Charley was deflected.

Thank you Lord for saving the lives of so many, and protecting those already weakened. Once again you have revealed your Glory as a ray of sunshine for hope and reassurance.
Bless you and Praise you.
We always have mushrooms around here... the mushroom capitol of the world is just east of here. It is big business.
I've never had that problem till now, because of all the rain. Usually, it's so dry around here.
It does for people who bother to think about it. How do you have an anonymous press conference? How do a dozen reporters get more credibility than one, unless someone is saying that to add weight that otherwise doesn't exist?

You are correct.I just had this same discussion last night. Friends, family memebers that have been very level headed and informed before. Have just lost it and are going to believe what they want. Sort of like they don't live in the same world I live in.
I spent about 2 hours on the phone last night taking about how people and there veiws today are just screwed up. It is really scary.
I'm watching some family members start taking things like "The Day After Tomorrow" seriously. These are devout christians.
I'm out of here for a few hours. cYa innabit.
