Rodney Alexander's switch late Friday to the Republican Party brought swift and vitriolic responses among Democrats from the Bayou to the Beltway, including from his entire Washington staff that resigned in protest yesterday morning. "He's a traitor," fumed Andrew Koneschusky of the Louisiana Democratic Party. "He betrayed the people who elected him to the U.S. Congress and the people who supported his re-election."

Just as Susan "Need some" Estrogen explained to the mayor of St. Paul Minnesota the other night on Fox... if you are not in lockstep with the Democrats you are a "Traitor" to the Party.
Where have we heard that before?

I'm sure they would have said the same thing about McCain, if he agreed to become Kerry's veep.
To: kattracks
Well said. I was thinking the exact same thing.
To: kattracks
It's too bad these democrats will whine instead of following Rep. Alexander to the right side.

Maybe Mr. Hoyer should look at some of the rather filthy campaigns he has conducted before he complains about anyone else's. However, I agree that it probably wasn't all that honorable a thing to do. It is true that Mr. Hoyer has little moral authority to complain, however.

he even waited until so late in the process to jump the fence that the only democrat that will be on the ballot will be a little known also ran -- so the GOP is almost assured of holding a seat that they didn't know they had until yesterday.

"He's a traitor," fumed Andrew Koneschusky of the Louisiana Democratic PartyI think he, like other democrat party switchers, are infiltrators.
Last week republicans hated him, this week they love him...What makes anyone think he's any different this week than he was last week?

Interesting isn't it...Folks elect someone to represent them because of their ideas ( or at least that's what they should do) and when one party deserts them the person chnages party affiliation...Seems to me the traitors are those that vote a party ticket without thinking and without paying attention....So waaaa waaaaa waaaa call me a wambulance

"...his entire Washington staff that resigned in protest.." Oops! Hey, not me, I was just taking a sick day. Not me either, I don't know who signed my name to that resignation. Just joking, just joking, do I still have my job? I was brainwashed. I need my job back, the unemployment office turned me down. My landlord said I still have to pay rent, so like can I come back to work? No more free airline tickets, you gotta rehire me. Wanna see my new thong.

I cannot recall a more deceitful, more calculated, more treacherous violation of trust.
I can. New Jersey and the Laughtenberg switch come to mind.
