check this out from the original Carl Cameron thread, posted by Chaguito:
http://www.boston.com/globe/nation/packages/kerry/journal_day2.shtml, "John F. Kerry/Candidate in the Making; John Kerry's Viet Nam War Journal" Kerry says...
"You head back towards Sa Dec to make your report while transiting the night darkness is broken by tracers flying up out of a Vietnamese outpost that is celebrating Christmas. ... Apologies are quick to (unable to read) but they mean nothing amidst all the chaos and waste. It's cool now and the evening has closed around you to become full night. The night for once is comforting and you take a coke and some peanut butter and jelly and go up on the roof of the cabin whit your tape recorder and sit for a while, quietly, watching flares float silently through the sky and flashes announce disquieting intent somewhere in the distance. You call down to one of your men and ask him to draft a message to the Admiral in Command of all Naval Forces in Vietnam and also to the Commander of Market Time. IT says "Merry Christmas from the most inland Market Time unit." You hope that they'll court marshal you or something because that would make sense. But the night soothes everything and the people and things that are close to you dart through the mind and bring the only warmth and peace that there is. Visions of sugar plums really do dance through your head and you think of stockings and snow and roast chestnuts and fires with birch logs and all that is good and warm and real. It's Christmas Eve."
O'neill mentions "sugar plum fairies" in Kerry's head on Christmas 1968 in his letter to TV station managers. It's directly from Kerry's own words!
Is there any way to get this to Carl Cameron? Kerry himself says he was in Sa Dec on Christmas. He also never says in his journal that he went to Cambodia, only that the river he was on went "toward Cambodia".

It's kind of hard to fight against the truth.
I just hope the truth will win out.
Hmmmmmm. They need time to cook up a good story. Lets see, He got lost, just thought he was in Cambodia, nah, secret mission, cant talk about it...nah, boy this might be tough.
Fox said he wrote a review of "Apocalypse Now". Anyone know where it is? He made some claims in the review he wrote too according to fox tonight. Boy this Cambodia story sure has legs! I thought it was going to fizzle. Cool.
And who says the Republicans don't know how to play offense.
I personally hope that he rots in Hell for what he did to honorable vets returning home. Because of Fonda and Kerry some Vets committed suicide, became homeless and alcoholics because they had no "home" to come home to. Kerry also caused our POW to suffer because of his anti-American actions. BURN YOU BASTAGE, BURN!
--- the Kerry campaign at first denied their candidate had said any such thing.---
Whatever these folks are getting paid, it's too much.
Wonder if ketchup-boy has any alternative plans for next year....?
Rocked and scrambling... heheheh!! Photo-op that Pinochio JFK.
"Rocked" is putting it mildly. The Democrats don't know how to rebut the charges leveled against the Kerry campaign. At the moment, their partisans in the media are seeking to kill the messenger. I think it will fall flat. If Kerry knows the accusations are wrong, its a simple matter to release ALL his records to lay this to rest. He hasn't done it so far probably because he can't afford to tell the truth about his service in Vietnam - and the records won't back up his claims. No wonder his campaign is running panicked.
About as dumb are his claims he was being shot at by Khmer Rouge and Cambodians. First, Khmer Rouge are Cambodians so not sure what he was inferring. If he was suggesting that he was being shot at by Cambodians who were NOT Khmer Rouge, while also being shot at by Khmer Rouge, then his lack of understanding of the situation on the ground in Cambodia is mind boggling. The man has a problem with the truth and lies for no apparent reason. Somewhat symptomatic of a socio-path.
I knew just from that part of the headline that this article was not from the MSM (mainstream media)! They will never admit to Kerry's campaign being "rocked" by anything.
"At least three of the five crewmen on Kerry's boat, Bill Zaldonis, Steven Hatch, and Steve Gardner, deny that they or their boat were ever in Cambodia."
The crew members who are supporting him should be asked if they were in Cambodia or Sa Dec(sp?) that night.
How much you wanna bet the slimeball will back up and say - "I was actually writing poetry - speaking metaphorically - of all the soldiers and sailors trapped in illegal combat in Cambodia....man."
