Hugh Hewitt just finished playing an entire story from Fox News wherein Carl Cameron confronted the Kerry campaign regarding his Cambodia claims.
Intially, they denied that Kerry had ever said he was in Cambodia. So Carl presented them with the Senate Record and the Boston Globe article where he most unambiguously did so. They said they would have to get back to him on this one, but sticks to their story that he was near Cambodia, but not actually in Cambodia.
THIS STORY HAS LEGS!

LibMedia editors: "We need to help Kerry. Everybody in unison, now: Abu Ghraib Abu Ghraib Abu Ghraib Abu Ghraib..."
HN is the designation for the corpsman skill code like QM is a quartermaster. An HN-1 is an E-6. From my old Navy days I recall only the HN designation, but I see the use of HM today after some research. I really don't know what the distinction is between an HN and an HM rating.
Brit set this story up and NEVER mentioned that Nixon was NOT president during the Christmas in contention.
You are good!!!!!
Dude's big problem is he isn't smart enough to keep all of his lies straight.
Junior High is full of guys like that.
Speaking of Terry McCauliffe, has he weighed in on this issue yet? Seems to be rather silent, allowing this to snowball.
Thanks! This is truly a collaborative FR effort! :o)
"Thank you Freepers for keeping FOX on their toes!!They must have been BOMBARDED with emails over their UNFAIRNESS to the Swift guys!"
Over the weekend- beginning Friday night I've written 22 e-mails to different newspapers and radio/tv stations (4 to FOX)...the more I think about this man being my son's boss for the next four years the harder I will work for GWB re-election.
I won't be surprised if the Kerry campaign has already put that goofy explanation out as their talking point du jour.
Brit certainly did mention that Nixon wasn't President in 1968, during the panel discussion. He said that Nixon had been elected but had not yet taken office.
If so, when did Kerry find out? Was it after his speech in the senate in 1986, or his interview with AP in 1992, or with the Boston Globe in 2003? Or maybe it was today after Cameron asked the question. LOL.
He didn't mention it in the setup but he dropped it on them later in the discussion. :=)
These would be secret orders, eh? Everything of consequence in Kerry's career is secret, and none of our business. Secret orders to go to Cambodia, you'll see. The Kerry campaign just needs a little time to think. ;)
ooooooooops. I guess you got us all beat!!!!!
Virtual gold star for you!!
Thanks for that info. I turned the TV off when Cameron finished his segment.
Thanks, I turned the TV a bit too soon.
Carl evidently had the Congressional record and showed them!!!
He also had found a letter from 1979 that Kerry had written to the editor of some paper (Globe?) in which he told his Cambodian tale AND mentioned "Nixon".
Glad to see there's a thread on this.
