(Fox News) Carl Cameron Confronts Kerry Campaign on Cambodia
Fox News ^ | 9 Aug 2004 | Carl Cameron

Posted on 08/09/2004 3:20:41 PM PDT by mcg1969

Hugh Hewitt just finished playing an entire story from Fox News wherein Carl Cameron confronted the Kerry campaign regarding his Cambodia claims.

Intially, they denied that Kerry had ever said he was in Cambodia. So Carl presented them with the Senate Record and the Boston Globe article where he most unambiguously did so. They said they would have to get back to him on this one, but sticks to their story that he was near Cambodia, but not actually in Cambodia.

THIS STORY HAS LEGS!

Carl Cameron just said the book will be on the shelves tomorrow!.......

Hannity just said the same. The original date was Sept 20th, changed to Aug 15th, now it's Aug 10th. Moved up due to it's high Amazon ranking #2 today.

I saw Juan and Mara Liason say something like he may have not known he was in Cambodia at the time,,,LMAO,, his whole reason for writing the articles and on the floor of the senate was to explain why he was in Cambodia,, they were given orders to be there because Nixon had sent him there,, those are not the words of a guy who got lost or didn't know where he was going,, he wanted you to know he was there on purpose,, he was a real behind enemy lines warrior sent there by a corrupt lying President,, there was no mistake Mara and Juan ,, of course it was all lies that he was there at all,, but him not knowing he was there doesn't jive with what he said,,,,

Don't bother with that "feedback" addy. They toss those in the trash. Go directly to the principles:

carl.cameron@foxnews.com

brit.hume@foxnews.com

Be respectful and you'll probably get a response. Not so with the Wash. Compost, Boston Globe and NY Times folks.

What does that mean? Did McCain fund the ad?

No. McCain/Feingold gave too much power and leeway to 527 groups.

Because of the McCain Finegold (sp?) campaign reform act, campaigns could only collect so much money from people. So these outside groups (e.g., moveon.org, swiftvets, etc.) have been formed and have sucked up monies that would have gone to the campaigns (one could argue the swiftvets monies would still be there because they have an argument the campaign would never make). Anyway, the argument goes it is all McCain's fault. If the law was not on the books, these organizations would not be there today, and there would not be any negative campaigning (right!)

The border which I crossed was in dispute, so while I believed that I was in Cambodia, others believe I was not. But what really matters was not whether or not I was in Cambodia, but that I was in Vietnam, and I won three Purple Hearts.

No kidding, you just encapsulated Juan's argument on Brit's roundtable.

I agreed with the poster yesterday who said that Kerry is worse than Clinton.

The difference is that Clinton is 'slick'. He has the personality to lie and still endear himself. Kerry doesn't.

That said, it will be interesting to see how much complicity the media continues to give to Kerry and his flipflops and his lies. Eventually, the medias' own credibility will start coming into question if they sit on these stories of lies and flipflops too long.

I get it now. John Kerry was in Cambodia in a high-level secret meeting with Howard Dean's brother, who was in Laos at the time...according to Howie...in uniform...not...

Slap me but they're all stinkin' Democrats, it's not like they'd be obliged to tell the truth.

Wouldn't that be from the movie, "A Pack of Lies - Now"?

That title could be made into a terrific cartoon book cover for kerry's Vietnam memoirs.

Why has no one questioned by the South Vietnamese would be celebrating Christmas. I didn't realize they were Christian. Or were many converted during the French occupation?

I agreed with the poster yesterday who said that Kerry is worse than Clinton.

As far as Vietnam:
Clinton "merely" dodged the draft and lied to his draft board

John Kerry has lied (grossly exaggerated) about his Vietnam combat, got phony Purple Hearts. Then came home to agitate and demonstrate as the most high profile anti war Vietnam Vet. Stabbing in the back the troops he left behind .

So on Vietnam, Bill Clinton was 100 times better.

I just called local B&N and was told "they" aren't getting theirs until September; I said it shipped Saturday and she said, "We're not getting ours until September."

I thought it was 4 months.

He was including his overtime.

Actually, it depends on what the meaning of 'month' is.

His name was J.C. Carreon. He was a Hosptial Corpsman (HN) and worked for Dr. Letson. He died in 1992.

Was it HN? I thought I heard Dr. Letson say Carreon signed it HM-1.
