His intro bears repeating;
Let me get this straight: Vietnam vets especially those who served with Kerry are allowed to praise him to the skies. But Vietnam vets including those who served with Kerry are not allowed to criticize him. We revere veterans when they're for Kerry; we revile them when they're against.

Have some more John Kerry: "There's nothing conservative about a certain attorney general from somewhere who stomps on the civil rights and civil liberties of Americans." Stomps.
Guess he must mean Janet Reno and Waco.....or does that not count as "Stomping on civil right?" Or Ruby Ridge.....take your pick.

And then there was the review by Leon Wieseltier of the new Nicholson Baker novel, all about assassinating President Bush. Wieseltier went on at considerable length about how, justified as Bush hating may be, horrible as the Right may be, assassination is going too far. This qualifies Wieseltier as a level-headed moderate. Such is today's climate. No, it's wrong no matter how much the Right baits us to indulge in "wild talk" about killing President Bush! I think I'm going to have to double my prayers for the safety of the president!

"The only thing we have to fear is four more years of George Bush." What Teddy Kennedy ment was, and I believe he was absolutely correct, The only thing we DEMOCRATS have to fear is four more years of George Bush.
