Tom DeWeese and Ron Paul are right.

at this point I think the Bush apologists would dismiss, justify and excuse anything, and I mean ANYTHING the GOP does. It's pretty pathetic. we don't keep the GOP conservative by bowing down and conceding on every point, simply because "the dems are worse!" We all know the dems are worse. That doesn't mean you bow down to every leftist abomination that comes down the pike from the 'almighty GOP'.

Many people seem to embrace the motto 'PARTY BEFORE PRINCIPLE®'. No thanks!

This is totally unacceptable.

The oil-for-food-to-line-pockets alliances are in immediate overdrive hearing they may get a crack at corrupting a USA presidential election, or at the very least have a US Government backed presence in one giving them global credence .

If this flies, it will open the door to the world courts and bye-bye sovereignty.

If I am correct, there are often foreign observers to US elections. This is primarily so they can learn how to do it properly at home. Hopefully they weren't watching the rats in SoFlo in 2000, or Heaven have mercy on those countries...

This is just a ploy by those who want a 'One World Government'.... a way to get their foot in the door. Who knows what they will demand next. And we have self-serving accomplises to help them in their mission. i.e. Corrine Brown.

How are they going to monitor the process, now that it is a done deal? What are the observers going to do 50' from the polling place?... Bon Jour, madam, zee voting booth iz zees way? There aren't any more chads to knock off... are they going to check every voter to see if they are legitamate? Are they going to give the Palm Beach elders a lesson in electronic voting...They keep everything else from us...and push stuff through without our knowledge... how are we supposed to know what they do behind the scenes?

This whole affair reeks.

This is a "win/win" situation for the Demo Party.

They are in league with the UN. I'm sure that these observers will turn a blind eye to Democrat transgression and spotlight ANY LITTLE THING they might find that slants toward the Repubs.

Remember, Dems can swallow a horse (Dem-dirty-deeds), but choke on the flys (Repub-dirty-deeds).

I think this is a state department think.

Much of the state department is infested with career beareacarats who LOATH hands on politicians.

They STILL hate reagan for killing their cushy nuclear treaty jobs when the USSR is around.

IF the president goes around eliminating enemies then the state department becomes an arm of the commerce department.

Somebody AT THE STATE DEPARTMENT should loose their job over this, at the minimum kill their carreer.

The State Department's invitation for an Austrian human rights group to monitor this year's U.S. presidential election is a "frightening" development and "an absolute threat" to America's independence and sovereignty, according to the head of a conservative think tank in Washington, D.C.

In one way, but in another it could be a "Come over here and see how the real thing's done." Well, on the other hand, in places like Chicago, St. Louis, West Palm Beach, etc., they wouldn't see anything they weren't already familiar with.

IMHO, it is absolutely 'none of their business' how we conduct our elections.
