In the campaign against the Boy Scouts, the sodomites are refining pressure tactics that they intend to use to purge Bible believing Christians from American public life.

I would think that the bar assn and the judges would understand the need to abide by a US Supreme Court Decision. Are they going behind the supreme's back with this? Would they be happier with higher levels of sex abuse in the Scouts? (Yes) Would they prefer to see the BSA disolve because parents keep their kids out because they can't have a say in who the leadership is? (Yes) Why do these organizations care about the BSA? (Because the BSA is standing in the path of their agenda.) Keep it up BSA.

Can someone get a copy of the proposal and the odds of it passing? Weirdos propose things all the time which have no chance of passing.

Freedom of association is a crucial freedom.

"But the new American Bar Association ethics proposal goes beyond simply stigmatizing judges involved with the Scouts – the proposal would actually prohibit judges from any kind of association whatsoever with organizations that oppose homosexuality."

So, a Southern Baptist judge or lawyer who attends a church that "opposes homosexuality" is already condemned for their association. The ABA is on the right path to destroy itself, and justice will be served when it happens.

The ABA model rules are just that.

They are then sent to the states to be adopted.

If there are scout advocates IN FL PLEASE contact the FLorida bar and let them know.

The ABA is an all voluntary organization but they have far disproportionate influence on politics. The majority of lawyers are NOT members of the ABA.

A vast majority of ABA members are liberals and outright commies.

Someone tell me again that there is no such thing as a "homosexual agenda?"

These model or proposed for the real world rules will pass. The ABA is NOT mandatory but they have a heavy influence with their model rules.

For example, their model divorce rules which had been configured for homosexual marriage were the cornerstone of the homosexual marriage opinion.

The ABA is heavily homosexual infested. Essentially lamda legal writes all their homo opinions.

Exactly. State bars tend to be pretty sane and conservative, even in places like CA and NY.

The ABA does not speak for the majority of lawyers.

A.B.A. and "ethics" in the same statement? Surely a typo...

We need to stand firm on this issue.
If a judge (person) happens to be a scoutmaster in the local Boy Scout troop, he is a fundamentalist, intolerant, homophobic bigot. I am there.

I am the Democratic party's worst nightmare. I am a BSA leader, am prior military, a homeschooler, Bible-thumping Christian women that belives in the Constitution as it was written.

Thanks for the ping.

Under the proposed ABA rules, judges could potentially be put in a position of having to choose between the bench and the Bible.

My God, what are we coming to in America? Shocking.
