Kerry should have gotten an Article 15 for negligent misuse of government property. :^)

Even Rassman made some allusion the other day about not knowing that the buttock injury was part of his purple heart.

John Kerry : "war hero" or a "war criminal"

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1186991/posts

Answer the question Kerry!

Did you lie about your "heroics" or the "war crimes"?

Can't have it both ways!

RELASE ALL YOUR MILITARY RECORDS BEFORE NOV 2nd!

Unless you are hiding something?

Are you?

Just for comparison purposes:

"In 1942, at the age of 19, Bob Dole joined the Army to fight in World War II. He became a second lieutenant in the Army's 10th Mountain Division, and in the spring of 1943, found himself in the hills of Italy fighting the Nazi Germans. Under a heavy shelling attack, Dole saw the Army radioman go down. He crawled out of his foxhole to try to rescue the wounded soldier, but was instead hit by gunfire himself. After the battle, the medics thought Dole would die, however Dole did survive with a shattered right shoulder, fractured vertebrae in his neck and spine, paralysis from the neck down, metal shrapnel throughout his body and a damaged kidney. The doctors did not think that Dole would ever walk again. Dole was decorated twice. He received two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star with Oakleaf Cluster. Dole then received extensive rehabilitation and nine surgeries. Four years later, Dole had achieved a significant recovery. The story is that to this day, Dole still has the cigar box with receipts of donations of the monies collected for his hospital bills by Dawson's Drug Store and the people of Russell, Kansas. He keeps this as a reminder of their generosity and love."

John Kerry, meet Bob Dole. You know, the Bob Dole you liberals made fun of because he held a pen in his injured hand while running for President:

The Dems planning an full assault on the Vets - beginning 15 Aug, with the intention to once destroy them again. This time - kerry's lawyers are willingly lie about them, destroying the credibility, as one of the insiders at the DNC told www.crushkerry.com, saying 'it is war against the Vets'. Once again, will Kerry accuse them of crimes committed, but worse then what he did. Go - and read up the story. We need to alert the Vets, and assist them as much as possible. We can't let them down again!

As a VietNam vet, I don't have any problems with Kerrys VietNam service ( although I question the length of his tour), but I have real problems with the purple hearts.
Max Cleland, a true decorated VietNam hero, who left 2 legs and an arm in VietNam, does NOT have a purple heart, because the accident that caused the disability was not associated with combat. For Sen. Kerry to claim 3 purple hearts for minor injuries, only cheapens Max Cleland's service.

Max Clelands Military Service

Army ROTC; Stetson University
U.S. Army 1965-1968; Commisioned Second Lieutenant and promoted to Captain 1968
Airborne, Ft. Benning, Georgia
Aide de Camp, Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey
Volunteered for duty in Vietnam in 1967
Wounded in grenade explosion April 8, 1968 (lost both legs and right arm)
Recovered from injuries "in various Army and Veterans Administration hospitals"
Awarded Bronze Star and Silver Star
Silver Star Medal Citation

Captain Cleland distinguished himself by exceptionally valorous action on 4 April 1968 … during an enemy attack near Khe Sanh.

When the battalion command post came under a heavy enemy rocket and mortar attack, Captain Cleland, disregarding his own safety, exposed himself to the rocket barrage as he left his covered position to administer first aid to his wounded comrades. He then assisted in moving the injured personnel to covered positions.

Continuing to expose himself, Captain Cleland organized his men into a work party to repair the battalion communications equipment, which had been damaged by enemy fire.

His gallant action is in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service, and reflects great credit upon himself, his unit and the United States Army.
Grenade Explosion Accident. In his own words,

On April 8, 1968, I volunteered for one last mission. The helicopter moved in low. The troops jumped out with M16 rifles in hand as we crouched low to the ground to avoid the helicopter blades. Then I saw the grenade. It was where the chopper had lifted off. It must be mine, I thought. Grenades had fallen off my web gear before. Shifting the M16 to my left hand and holding it behind me, I bent down to pick up the grenade. A blinding explosion threw me backwards.

Great job, Linda. How did you get access to Kerry's diary? Is it available on-line?

There seems to be this emerging consensus in the elite conservative media (i.e. on FNC (cept Hannity(, not talk radio) that the Swift ad and any mention of Nam (even pointing out what a lying traitor Kerry is) helps Kerry because he went.

Agree or disagree?

I totally think this hurts Kerry, what are these people thinking? Is it just another example of hopelessly detached from the people Beltway media groupthink? Or are they trying to get us to drop it because it is killing Kerry?
