Long but interesting. Learned a little more why we do not want him as Commander in Chief let alone my President.

What? You're saying Kerry had some connection with Vietnam?
Hunh. Think he'd mention it.

But does Kerry risk going too far by playing up his Vietnam experience so relentlessly? "I don't think he's playing it up; that's who he is," said Cheryl Rivera, a Massachusetts state representative. Ms. Rivera, meet George Elliott. Mr. Elliott served with John Kerry in Viet Nam, and he would like to share his story.

It occured to me this morning that all of this focus on Kerry's Viet Nam fraud is obscuring his Left of Left position on everything else.

The party that once opposed the war in Vietnam is now wallowing in it Opposed it?
It was JFK and LBJ who made that quagmire. It was the French who laid the groundwork for the unrest in that country.
It was FDR and Woodrow Wilson who refused to listen to, or assist Ho Chi Minh to free his country from the French iron fist rule, and it the Democrats in Chicago who chased the Hippies and Yippies, beating them to the ground in Chicago's Grant Park.

Thousands of people served in Vietnam. many no doubt stayed the course for there whole tour (unlike Kerry). Many received medals, more medals than Kerry. this shows that they served there country, hats off to them. But does this alone qualify them to be president? Thousands served more valiantly Kerry, if we can't have Bush, lets have any of them that served more valiantly than Kerry. We can, as a nation do much better than him . What has he done since then? as Lt. Governor he served as "Minnie Dukaks" as a senator he he one the most liberal voting records, and as a candidate he has no plan or agenda, just straddle both sides of the fence (i.e. he believes life begins at conception, yet he voted for partial birth abortion?) As a nation we can do much better!

It seems that The Amerian Public is beginning to see that John Kerry has hired a not very talented Hollywood producer to edit his life.
Instead spending 100,000,000 in ads to tell voters about his life ("Reader digest version"). he instead has edited out whole parts of his life intended to deceive the voters.
If his military career is important, his entire career is important- he was still in the military when he committed what many Vets consider treason.

Kerry's got a record of accountability, while Bush has never been the commander of anythingEXCEPT THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES FOR FOUR YEARS, YOU EFFING MORON!!!
I can't believe he really said this!!

The article conveniently skips over any mention of atrocities admittedly committed by Kerry while in Vietnam.

Two rambling paragraphs about Vietnam defining the campaign.
Eight paragraphs about Kerry and Vietnam.
One short paragraph with a line by Marc Racicot, Bush campaign chairman.
Wow, and three [insert adjective here] wrote this! Roger Simon, Dan Gilgoff and Terence Samuel are word wonders!
Imagine what an article 24 people could write.

Vietnam defines Kerry the man and Kerry the campaigner. He believes it shows his values (he volunteered while others ducked or dodged),
When his draft board wouldn't let him go to France for post-graduate study, he volunteered for what he thought would be non-combat duty in the Navy, at the worst patroling off the coast of Vietnam, but by the time he arrived in-country for duty his unit's mission had changed and he found himself in the shooting war
it shows his leadership (he commanded troops in battle),
He was a "loose cannon" according to one Admiral, and frequently broke regulations, challenged orders, and took actions which put his men in jeopardy like beaching his boat and abandoning the crew to possible enemy fire without an effective escape route
it shows his compassion (he saved a life or two),
There've been claims of saving only one life, and that came after he first ran away from the scene, then returned and picked a man up from the water just as another boat, one which had stayed to protect the man, was within a few yards of picking him up
it shows his toughness (he took a life or two),
He shot a half-naked, fleeing Cong teenager in the back - Kerry's words:"I shot him because I was afraid he was going to turn around"
it shows his moral strength (he had the courage to later oppose the war he fought in),
He asked for and received a six-month early release from the service to run for political office, and changed his stance on the war to run in a heavily anti-war district
and it shows his vision (he has experienced the horrors of war and will not be quick to commit American troops to combat without a good reason)
He has been judged "Unfit to Command" by 250 former colleagues who served beside him and as his supervising officers in Vietnam - he must never be put in the position to commit American troops to anything at any time....

John Kerry : "war hero" or a "war criminal"
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1186991/posts
Answer the question Kerry!
Did you lie about your "heroics" or the "war crimes"?
Can't have it both ways!
RELASE ALL YOUR MILITARY RECORDS BEFORE NOV 2nd!
Unless you are hiding something?
Are you?

The Dim people assume that since Max Cleland is a quadraplegic (sp?) with injuries suffered in VN, he is a bonafide hero.
Ir reality he's no hero. He and a friend were headed off to have a cold beer when Cleland caused some U.S. unexploded ordnance to explode.
